As Phaneuf dumps the puck over the glass, he throws his shoulder into Guerin. Their sticks and gloves get up and the gloves come off along the boards. Phaneuf is trying to throw overhand rights, but Guerin has him tied up well. They push each other up against the glass and try to get a hand free. The fight moves away from the boards, but neither guy can get loose. Phaneuf finally gets his right hand free and throws two jabs and two over the top, landing a couple. Guerin has a small cut, which may have happened during the fight or before in the pushing and shoving.

As Fernandez covers the puck, Wiemer and Ferguson begin to shove each other. A crowd gathers as Boogaard tries to get at Wiemer, but he's held back by the officials. Wiemer and Ferguson skate away from the scrum and drop the gloves. Ferguson starts with two rights, both landing, then switches to the left and lands one. Wiemer begins to throw over the top, missing with two. They spin around as Wiemer tries to get free. He does and throws three more to the back of Ferguson's helmet. Ferguson loses his balance, falls to his knees, gets back up and takes another punch to the back of the helmet as Wiemer rips it off. They both miss with a right, then Ferguson throws a left jab. Wiemer switches to his left and lands three and Ferguson falls to the ice.

Behind the Wild goal, Schultz nails Amonte from behind. Amonte gets up and shoves Schultz. Schultz drops his gloves and then Amonte drops his. They tie up and Amonte lands an uppercut and then throws three more rights, with two of them landing. Both guys go toe-to-toe with the rights, Schultz landing well, but Amonte throwing more. They tie up with Schultz throwing a couple of rabbit punches and then the linesmen break it up. Other Penalties: Amonte received an instigator and misconduct; Schultz a boarding.

Shelley then gets McCarty turned around, throws one to the back of the head and gets the takedown.

Goertzen lays a big hit on Dion Phaneuf in the corner. Ritchie skates over to Goertzen and they drop the gloves. Ritchie starts out with a few rights and Goertzen tosses Ritche to the ice, also losing his own balance in the process. They get up, but Ritchie's quicker and feeds Goertzen some rights while he's getting up. Goertzen loses his balance again, goes to a knee and gets back up. They exchange some rights, Ritchie's look to be landing better. Goertzen just can't straighten out and use his size to his advantage. As Goertzen moves forward he goes to the ice again, and this time Ritchie lands on him and the linesmen come in.

They wrestle around a bit until Ruutu gets loose and is able to get Ritchie's jersey over his head as he lands 5-6 rights before the linesmen come in.

Brookbank throws two weak rights as he struggles to get his elbow pad off. Brookbank pins McCarty up against the boards as McCarty throws two rights. They each struggle to get loose, allowing the linesman to come in and end the fight.

Iginla rips Ballard's helmet off as Ballard is throwing rights. Iginla connects with an overhand right as Ballard attempts a body shot, but gets tied up. Iginla gets his left hand loose and starts raining down punches on Ballard while he is bent over. They tie up and Iginla throws a body shot. Iginla then throws a left that misses and knocks both players off-balance and to the ice. Iginla throws another left as they are falling.

Antti Laaksonen crosses the blueline into the Flames' zone and gets taken out by Marchment after a late whistle for offsides. Laperriere is close by and skates right on over. The two get the sticks up and drop the gloves while a linesman is trying to intervene. They break away and just start pumping punches at one another, Laperriere with the right, Marchment with the left. About 8-10 punches are tossed by each and then they start to wrestle. Laperriere sneaks in a short left as they continue grappling for position. They're against the boards now and each player tosses a shot while they're tangled. They're in tight and each player tries to use the other ones grip to make him spring forward while punching. A couple of more punches land from each, Lappy with a couple of rights, Mush with some lefts. The linesmen wait for them to grapple and tire a bit more before moving in and breaking it up.

LaCouture throws a couple of overhand lefts as Wiemer returns fire with a right and shakes off his elbow pad. They wrestle around and skate into the boards as Wiemer throws a couple of rabbit punches. LaCouture returns fire with an overhand left. Wiemer throws a couple of rights as LaCouture throws a right before he loses his balance and goes down to a knee, allowing the linesmen to come in and stop the fight.

Phaneuf throws three quick rights before trying to rip Bell's helmet off. Bell throws a right as Phaneuf comes back with a few rights that hit the side of Bell's head. They wrestle around before Phaneuf throws two short uppercuts as Bell throws a right before they go against the glass. Phaneuf throws an overhand right while Bell is bent over. They skate out from against the boards as Bell throws a right and then switches hands, landing a couple of jersey-jabs. They then grapple for a short while before they exchange lefts, with Bell's punch landing. Bell throws another overhand right as Phaneuf lands a short right to the back of Bell's head before the linesmen intervene. Bell has a small cut on his nose as the two skate away to the penalty box.

McCarty switches hands and throws a right before Souray throws two rights. They go back and forth with punches: both trading lefts including Souray landing one that stuns McCarty for a short moment. McCarty misses with a right as Souray puts his head down. They wrestle around trying to get loose as blood streams down McCarty's face. They continue to grapple as Souray rips McCarty's helmet off before they each miss with a left. Souray throws two lefts with one landing before they wrestle up against the glass. McCarty lands three quick lefts as Souray misses with an overhand left before the linesmen come in and end the scrap. They talk for a little bit before going their seperate ways as both guys skate back to the dressing room: McCarty for repairs on a cut that has blood streaming down his face; Souray to clean his blood-stained helmet. Souray was wearing a brace on his wrist and was tossed out of the game for it. Other Penalties: Souray received an attempt to injure penalty.

Iginla then throws a body shot before they wrestle around in close quarters. Iginla switches hands and throws five lefts with a few connecting as Kesler throws a left. Kesler then lands two rights as Iginla lands a left. Iginla lands a big right and the two begin to exchange right hands once again. They go back and forth with some more punches, both fighters obviously fatigued as Iginla shakes his elbow pad off. They each land two rights before Iginla misses with two wide lefts and the linesmen come in and finally stop the fight.

Ritchie throws a right of his own before Ott twists him around, knocking Ritchie off-balance. Ott then throws a flurry of seven rights as Ritchie falls to the ice and the linesmen rush in.

Directly after the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and tie up. Perrott rips Simon's helmet off and connects with four short rights to the back of Simon's head while Simon returns fire with two of his own during the exchange. The two grapple as Perrott loses his balance and goes down to his knees, allowing Simon to get his left hand free and get in two lefts on Perrott while he is down. Perrott gets back up to his feet and becomes the recipient of four more lefts from Simon. Perrott goes down to his knees and Simon gets one more left in before the linesmen intervene.

Behind the play, the two push and shove along the boards before dropping the gloves and squaring off at center ice. Simon grabs ahold of Parros and throws three quick lefts with two connecting, knocking Parros off-balance. Parros regains his composure and throws two lefts in the middle of a flurry of nine lefts to the side and back of Parros' head by Simon. Simon then throws Parros to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Right off of the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and square off near the side boards. Laraque grabs ahold of Simon while Simon fights to keep his balance. Laraque throws two lefts, knocking Simon's helmet off while they spin around. Simon comes back with a left of his own, followed by six straight lefts by Laraque, four of them landing, before the two spin to the ice. Laraque falls on top of Simon and his shoulder hits Simon's face, pushing the back of his head down into the ice. The back of Simon's head splits open and blood starts dripping onto the ice. The linesmen separate the two and Laraque waves his hands in the air, asking the crowd to make some noise. Simon goes back to the dressing room for repairs.

Marchment and Moen get tangled up behind the net while trying to play the puck just before they decide to drop the mitts. They exchange overhand rights with Moen adding a right and five jersey-jabs for good measure. Marchment throws a right while Moen tries an uppercut. Marchment switches hands and throws two off-balance lefts while Moen tries to regain his position. Marchment throws another left and a jab just before Moen returns fire with a left. The two go back and forth with lefts and decide to take a quick breather after the exchange. Moen then winds up and throws a right that Marchment is able to see ahead of time and duck under. The two exchange slow lefts and Moen goes down to a knee, causing the linesmen to start thinking about stopping the fight. Moen gets back to his feet and is able to block a few Moen lefts and rights until the linesmen step in.

Samuel Pahlsson hits Regehr into the boards during a race for an icing call. The whistle blows and Regehr shoves Pahlsson, causing players to skate over and a scrum to ensue. Away from the pack of players, Regehr and DiPenta push and shove before dropping the gloves. DiPenta connects with six straight rights while Regehr tries to duck away from the punches. The two exchange right hands and Regehr gets in two rights while DiPenta falls to the ice and the linesmen rush in. Other Penalties: Chuck Kobasew received a cross checking.
