McCarty hits Souray hard along the boards as Souray shoves McCarty in retaliation. They start talking as Craig Rivet skates over and gives McCarty a cross-check before skating away. Souray and McCarty then drop the gloves and square off. Souray grabs on and throws a right before McCarty returns fire with four lefts of his own with Souray landing a left during the exchange. McCarty switches hands and throws a right before Souray throws two rights. They go back and forth with punches: both trading lefts including Souray landing one that stuns McCarty for a short moment. McCarty misses with a right as Souray puts his head down. They wrestle around trying to get loose as blood streams down McCarty's face. They continue to grapple as Souray rips McCarty's helmet off before they each miss with a left. Souray throws two lefts with one landing before they wrestle up against the glass. McCarty lands three quick lefts as Souray misses with an overhand left before the linesmen come in and end the scrap. They talk for a little bit before going their seperate ways as both guys skate back to the dressing room: McCarty for repairs on a cut that has blood streaming down his face; Souray to clean his blood-stained helmet. Souray was wearing a brace on his wrist and was tossed out of the game for it. Other Penalties: Souray received an attempt to injure penalty.

W-Souray and it goes without saying he has more money than McCarts.

Afterward Souray's helmet looked like Wilson the volleyball from "Castaway."

I remember this scrap and McCarty certainly came away looking worse for wear although he did not embarrass himself...Now Souray...What to say about a guy who fights a known left handed scrapper using his own left and not only winning but splitting him wide...Well done....

Souray got bloodied McCarty as he landed here hardest punches.
McCarty did well, it's sure thing.
But he got EDGED by Souray.
A nice attack by McCarty in the end but Souray answered with one or two.

good scrap, mccarty got cut pretty good, surprised sheldon didn't have any marks as they seemed to be going back and forth pretty solid.

Great job by Souray. Hey 777Big I just pissed myself after reading your comment. I'm sure Souray is worried about being fined for a fight that happened 6 years ago you goof. And the gash - McCarty was leaking before his helmet came off - have a few more drinks and watch the video again.

NHL needs to get rid of helmets for fighting.....just like gloves. The gash is from either McCarty's helmet getting ripped off or from Souray's helmet. Gashes like that don't come from a punch.
Then Souray's gets ejected for the wrist brace. And McCarty is almost 40.
All around a joke......this sh*t gives the NHL a bad rep......will a fine be coming (for Souray's "attempt to injure")?
