The two drop the gloves behind the play and grab ahold of each other near the side boards. McGrattan starts off with a couple of jersey jabs as he backs Belak off before Belak throws an overhand right. McGrattan throws a right of his own and the two exchange a series of jersey jabs. Belak throws one which causes McGrattan to respond with four straight of his own. Belak throws an uppercut and the the two exchange long rights while continuing to keep their distance from one another. Belak throws two more uppercuts, causing McGrattan to return fire with two rights. McGrattan throws a right over the top that hits Belak's back. The two then exchange body shots and McGrattan throws another right before the linsemen finally step in to break things up.

The two talk a little during the faceoff and drop the mitts directly after it. McGrattan throws a quick right while grabbing ahold of Belak. McGrattan throws four more rights and Belak responds with a couple of body shots. McGrattan misses with a right and Belak attempts an uppercut just before he falls to his knees. McGrattan connects with a right cross while Belak is returning to his feet and throws two more long ones while Belak is backing away. They then exchange a series of jersey-jabs and rights until McGrattan lands two rights to the back of Belak's helmet and the two fall to the ice. The linesmen come in and send them to the penalty boxes where McGrattan does some turtle symbols while Belak looks on.

Tucker takes a run at Eaves along the boards, but is knocked down by Eaves instead. Tucker gets up, grabs Eaves, and quickly drops his gloves, forcing Eaves to do the same in self-defense. Tucker shakes off his elbow pad and Eaves gets in a short left. Tucker comes back with a right followed by two more attempted rights that are blocked. The two exchange punches and Tucker then proceeds to land three straight rights, the last one sending Eaves to the ice. Tucker gets in another right while the two are falling and the linesmen are quick to get in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Tucker received a roughing.

Behind the play they two drop the gloves and square off near the blueline, shadow boxing for a good while. Belak finally grabs ahold of Peters and throws a right and four lefts after doing so. Belak throws a series of jersey-jabs mixed in with rights and an uppercut while Peters is turned around. Peters returns fire with a right and Belak continues to throw jersey-jabs and the occasional right hand. The same exact exchange happens once more until the two start going back and forth with rights. They continue to exchange a mix of punches at a slow pace until Peters gets Belak up against the boards and throws two quick rights just before the linesmen grab the two.

Janssen waits for Belak at the red line and the two grab each other, dropping the gloves shortly after. Janssen is the first to strike, throwing six rights and three uppercuts with half of them landing while Belak tries to get set up. Janssen throws two more rights and an uppercut with Belak responding in the form of a body shot and a jersey-jab. Janssen throws six straight rights until Belak connects with a left and they exchange rights. Belak throws a left and waits while Janssen tries to get his right arm out from underneath his jersey. Janssen shakes off his elbow pad and Belak throws another jersey-jab just before they exchange lefts. Janssen throws another left and his jersey comes off while he is throwing three more. Belak connects with a long right and they exchange lefts until the linesmen move in and break things up.

A scrum develops in front of the Thrashers' net and out of it comes Battaglia and Coburn who have dropped the gloves and are grappling for position. They continue to wrestle around until they get up along the boards where Coburn gets in a right uppercut. Battaglia gets free and comes across with a right. Coburn comes back with a couple of body shots. Battaglia then throws two rights and Coburn fires off two uppercuts. Battaglia throws another right an attempts a locked-out uppercut just before the linesmen intervene and end the fight. Other Penalties: Coburn received a roughing.

Right off of the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and square off in front of the Sabres' bench. They grab ahold of each other and Belak misses with a left jab, allowing Peters to throw two rights. Belak returns fire with eight unanswered punches, a mix of overhand rights, jersey-jabs, and uppercuts. Peters finally responds with a right and they go back and forth with rights until Belak takes control once again, connecting with a few rights to the back of Peters' head. Peters goes with the right once again and they spin around until Peters loses his balance and starts to fall to the ice. Belak connects with a right to Peters' chest while he is falling and the linesmen quickly intervene.

Belak flattens Olli Jokinen along the boards prompting Allen to skate over to Belak. Allen waits until Belak gets to his feet and challenges him. The two drop quickly drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other. They exchange rights to start things off and Belak throws another right while trying to tie up Allen. Allen responds with a few jersey-jabs and Belak throws two long rights that miss. Allen gets his left free and connects with two jabs. Belak throws a right and then switches hands, throwing a left just as Allen connects with a right, knocking Belak's helmet off. Belak then connects with two uppercuts while Allen falls to the ice. The linesmen jump in and Belak gets in a right while they are down, but they are separated shortly after.

Ponikarovsky collides knee-on-knee with Rod Brind'amour, sending Brind'amour to the ice clutching his knee. Tanabe quickly goes after Ponikarovsky and the two drop the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and spin around while Ponikarovsky throws some rights. Ponikarovsky blocks a right from Tanabe and responds with a right of his own. Tanabe connects with a hard right and Ponikarovsky blocks another shot before wrestling Tanabe to the ice. The linesmen come in shortly after and end the fight.

Newbury and Brookbank get tangled up along the boards for a moment, but quickly separate. Newbury chases after Brookbank, jabbing him with his stick. Brookbank turns around and the two quickly drop the gloves. They exchange right hands to start the fight and follow that up by going back and forth with rights until Brookbank is able to get Newbury bent over and tied up. Newbury's helmet comes off and he is able to stand back up. Brookbank then throws two overhand rights and an uppercut. Newbury answers with a right and they go back and forth with right hands once again for a short moment. Newbury gets Brookbank's jersey over his eyes and then gets him turned around, throwing three rights to the back of Brookbank's head. Brookbank comes back with a right of his own, but Newbury promptly flips him down to the ice. The linesmen jump in to break things up and Newbury gives Brookbank a good fight pat as they skate away.

Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other at center ice. Petrovicky throws four quick rights while Newbury tries to duck away from the punches and get set up. Petrovicky throws a jersey-jab and then switches hands, exchanging simultaneous rights with Newbury. Petrovicky then connects with two straight right hands that put Newbury to sleep and send him to the ice. Newbury's head hits the ice hard and knocks him unconscious for a moment. The linesmen immediately jump in to get Petrovicky off of Newbury and wave for help. Doctors and team physicans rush out onto the ice and after a while, Newbury is loaded up on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital.

Tucker and Avery have some words before the draw and jostle for position. The puck drops and Tucker immediately drop his gloves while Avery turns around and starts to skate away. Tucker skates after him and Avery ducks his head while Tucker asks him if they are fighting or not. Avery then turns around, drops his gloves, and grabs ahold of Tucker. Avery starts things off by connecting with an uppercut. Avery takes Tucker's helmet off and then throws a right cross that misses, allowing Tucker to throw a flurry of three rights that knock Avery's helmet off. Tucker switches hands and throws a left that Avery is able to counter with a right. They then go back and forth with rights until Tucker loses his balance and falls to the ice. The linesmen are quick to jump in and grab the two. They get back to their feet and exchange some more words before heading to their respective penalty box.
