Comments: Carkner knocks Steve Downie to the ice with a hit from behind. Cote takes exception and grabs ahold of Carkner. Cote drops his gloves and throws a right while Carkner removes his mitts. Cote throws a left and the two then go toe-to-toe with lefts for a short moment before losing their balance and falling to the ice.

Comments: Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and McGrattan starts throwing rights off the bat. McGrattan continues to fire away with the right hand while Grenier tries to set up. Grenier sneaks in a short uppercut and McGrattan returns fire with more rights to the side of Grenier's helmet. They tie up and Grenier switches hands, connecting with a short left. McGrattan returns fire with a few more rights and they then hold on until the linesmen intervene.
