| McCarty was trying to get Scott Stevens to fight early in the third, Stevens says no but White had no problem. White starts with 2 or 3 rights and McCarty answers with 2 or 3 rights. They then get tangled up and White drops as McCarty does too. | ||||

| Dec 15, 2001 | 2pd 10:49 | Jiri Fischer | @VAN | Todd Bertuzzi |
| Scrum is going on behind the net after a stoppage. Bertuzzi and Fischer are in the middle of the zone and decide to drop the gloves. They both hold onto each other tight. Fischer attempts to throw two rights. Neither connect. Hugging again. Bertuzzi tries to throw a short right that doesn't do anything. More hugging. Then they fall with Fischer on top. | ||||

| Dec 23, 2001 | 2pd 10:32 | Darren McCarty | @CHI | Ryan VandenBussche |
| A fair drop of the gloves along the boards near the benches. Vandy initiates the grab and McCarty lowers his head and grabs on too. Lots of tugging and McCarty pushes Vandy's helmet off. They're near the Wings bench now and McCarty has Ryan's jersey over his head so he lets loose with a left that comes up empty. Vandy, even though blinded, connects a glancing blow off of McCartys head. Darren lands a weak left to the shoulder and then comes under with an uppercut that appears to land flush on Vandenbussche's beak. A follow up left from McCarty lands to the side of the head. Vandy is having a hell of a time with that jersey and is in trouble. A WILD right from McCarty misses everything . Vandy's jersey just gave birth to a brand new head! Bob Probert is cruising nearby... They're both jostling for position. In close now up against the boards. McCarty fires a left that looks like it missed. Probert just cross checked somebody! Darren and Vandy are watching him now! They're done?! Hmmmm. This was kinda weird. Probert then points to the bench and starts yelling and has to be escorted off the ice. Other Penalties: Bob Probert received a roughing and misconduct; VandenBussche an interference. | ||||

| Jan 09, 2002 | 1pd 00:45 | Brendan Shanahan | VAN | Murray Baron |
| Shanahan is forechecking hard in the Canucks zone, and the puck comes to Baron. Baron sees Shanny coming and gets rid of the puck. Shanny finishes his check anyways, and Baron didn't take too kindly to that, so off come the gloves. A brief squareoff between the two, then they come together. Both guys have a hold of each other's left arms, looking to load up and score with the rights. They both jocky for position, and trade rights, none of which do much damage. Shanny then gets the left hand loose and gets off about 4 shots, which landed but didn't do much damage. Zebras come in and the fight is over. | ||||

| Jan 09, 2002 | 1pd 18:59 | Sean Avery | VAN | Trevor Linden |
| With the Wings down 3-0, Avery challenges Linden and they drop them at center ice. Another Canuck grabbed at Avery, distracting him for a moment. Trevor tried to seize the opportunity, but just missed with a right. Linden threw and landed a couple rights followed by a couple rights by Avery which only appeared to graze Linden. Trevor tries for another right but misses and his momentum brings him down to the ice. Avery throws 1 more as Linden is down. | ||||

| Feb 04, 2002 | 2pd 07:12 | Darren McCarty | @COL | Rick Berry |
| On the faceoff following a McCarty goal, Darren is seen saying something to Berry and giving him a little look like "it's that time for a little scrappin in Hockeytown". Puck drops, McCarty skates over to Berry and its on. The two shadowbox a bit and Mac grabs Berry with his right while Berry grabs with his left, each looking to land a bomb. Darren fires a big left that Berry just avoids. In the clench now, big B lands a soft right to Mac Daddy's helmet. McCarty possibly grazes Berry with a left. Both then fire simultaneous shots (toe to toe style), with Darren landing to the chest while appearing to take a shot to the face himself. McCarty misses with a left, followed by a Berry right to the helmet. Darren fires and lands 2 short lefts and manages to duck 2 rights. Berry's pushed down to a knee, but gets right back up. Each misses a punch, Mac then lands a left while Berry misses another. They're all tied up now with Darren's jersey over his head. After about 5 seconds, the linesman say thats all folks with a little blood on McCarty's nose. | ||||

| Feb 04, 2002 | 2pd 17:21 | Sean Avery | @COL | Dan Hinote |
| During a scrum in front of Hasek, away from the pile the 2 pests start yapping. A little glove wigglin and there they go! It's a far-away camera view to start, but Avery appears to land 1, 2, 3, 4...make that 5 straight rights on Hinote. Hard to tell exactly where they landed. Dan wants to take part in this scrap so he tosses a right of his own, but misses. Sean misses with a right, then grazes Hinote with another. Avery feels Hinote's helmet isn't needed, so he rips it off. Each miss a few more, then do a little tuggin and pullin. Each trying to get free, Dan lands to the back of Sean's helmet while Sean misses a right. They both now get an arm free and are looking to drop a few bombs. Both chuck big ones and land. They're not done...wham! Again each land a big one with Hinote's shots looking to be the harder of the two. Dan misses a right, Avery lands to the back of the head, then another, followed by a short Hinote right. The linesman come in with both men giving a little nod to each other. Nice scrap. Other Penalties: Jesse Wallin received an interference. | ||||

| Feb 06, 2002 | 1pd 13:02 | Jesse Wallin | NYR | Matt Barnaby |
| Wallin is holding Matt in front of the Rangers net. Barnaby isn't really paying too much attention to Wallin for a while then wakes up and starts pushing Wallin back. Wallin drops the gloves first and locks onto Barnaby. Matt doesn't even have his gloves off and still has his stick in hand. He finally frees himself of his stick and gloves and locks into Wallin. Wallin is guarding against Matt's right hand and is taken by surprise when Matt starts rapidly throwing short, straight lefts that are connecting. Barnaby lands about three or four of these and takes Wallin off balance and down he goes. Matt threw a couple more while Wallin is on the ice and that's the end of this little scrap. | ||||

| Mar 09, 2002 | 2pd 03:02 | Sean Avery | @STL | Tyson Nash |
| Camera moves in with Avery landing about 2 or 3 short noogie shots. Nash has his head down as his helmet comes over his face. Tyson misses with a blind, wild right. His helmet's completely off now as Nash goes for Avery's leg looking for the early takedown. But Avery keeps his balance and lands an uppercut to Tyson's shoulder. Another right by Avery just out of reach. Sean controlling the fight so far, but nothing of significance landed yet. Avery lands to the back of the head. Nash desperately trying to get his arm free. Avery misses with a big left and his momentum put him in a bad position. Tyson Nash gets his arm out of the jersey and now its his turn. He lands 1 helmet shot, then fires a vicious haymaker that would've landed Sean in the minors if it connected (but doesn't). He misses 2 more, then finally appears to land 1. Both toss a couple with Avery missing 2 lefts and Nash landing to the shoulder. A big right thrown by Nash, but couldn't tell if it landed. Avery goes to throw a left, but is greeted with a solid right to his jaw. Nash misses 2 more, with the second allowing Avery to get the takedown. | ||||

| Mar 13, 2002 | 3pd 02:45 | Sean Avery | EDM | Scott Ferguson |
| Started as a battle for the puck along the boards behind the Oilers' net. Ferguson was all over Avery. Avery turned to face Ferguson and they looked ready to go. But they didn't just yet. They skated around the net and Avery dropped his gloves and started first. Ferguson dropped his right away and the fight was on. Avery started with some good rights, maybe 5, but it was hard to see if they landed or not because the linesman got in the way of the camera. Ferguson tried to tie up the right, but that wasn't working, so he decided to throw some left hand shots. The first two landed rather stiff, as they made Avery stop punching and duck his head. Ferguson followed those two punches up with about 4 more lefts but they didn't land too well. Avery came back with some more rights that didn't seem to connect, then Avery pulled off a pretty good move, ducking under Ferguson's left arm and coming out the other side, leaving the back of Ferguson's head wide open. Avery couldn't capitalize on this as Ferguson went down. | ||||

| Mar 23, 2002 | 3pd 09:56 | Sean Avery | @COL | Pascal Trepanier |
| Maltby is pushed into Roy and Patrick doesnt like it one bit. The 2 start jostling in the net and a major league scrum breaks out. Gloves litter the ice. Dominik Hasek decides to get involved and skates down the ice to go after Roy. Unfortunately, just as Dom arrives he slips on a stick and the linesman are able to intervene. Both goalies wanted to get it on! In the mean time, the only real fight is along the boards with Avery and Trepanier. Pascal basically just tries to hold on as Avery lands a few rights. Trepanier's lip is bleeding pretty bad and blood is on his jersey. Other Penalties: Kirk Maltby for goaltender interference; Patrick Roy for roughing; Dominik Hasek for leaving the crease. | ||||

| Apr 01, 2002 | 3pd 06:29 | Brendan Shanahan | TOR | Wade Belak |
| Shanahan slashes Garry Valk and Belak shoves him. They both drop their gloves. Belak starts of by throwing a right to the back of Shanahan's head. He then lands two more, both to the back of Shanahan's head. Belak lands a right under Shanahan's arm and follows it up with a right to the back of the head. Belak throws and lands two more rights to Shanahan's head. Belak lands a weak left on Shanahan's neck. Belak then lands another right to the Back of Shanahan's head. Belak then lands a left to Shanahan's face. The refs then come in to separate the two. Other note: Shanahan went into the game with an injured wrist. Other Penalties: Shanahan received a slashing. | ||||

| Apr 03, 2002 | 3pd 16:35 | Darren McCarty | @ANA | Mike LeClerc |
| LeClerc crushes Slegr with a shoulder-to-face check. It looked bad because Slegr was losing balance as he was hit. McCarty jumps LeClerc who is flailing his arms in defense. McCarty nails him with a hard left to the jaw, turning LeClerc around. McCarty throws a right that doesn't land, and then nails him with another vicious left either to the shoulder or face. LeClerc drops to the ice and McCarty throws one more on way down to LeClerc's back. | ||||
