Comments: The Sharks go offsides. Thornton and Brookbank bump, drop the gloves and quickly grab on. They're in tight and Brookbank quickly removes Thornton's helmet. Brookbank starts off with some rights, tossing in an uppercut in between a couple of shots to Thornton's head. Thornton returns fire with a left that hits Brookbank's back. Brookbank then throws a right while trying to pull up the back of Thornton's jersey with his left. Thornton's trying to throw a right at the same time, but Brookbank's jersey move causes them both to fall and the linesmen quickly come in while they're on the ice.

Comments: Scatchard cross checks Marcel Goc from behind in the corner. Thornton's right next to the two and grabs ahold of Scatchard. Shane Doan attempts to break it up, but Thornton's got a good grip on Scatch and throwing rights over a scrum. They break away and Scatchard goes to his knees. Thornton throws a big left uppercut as Scatchard is getting up. Scatchard makes it up on his skates, but after just a moment or so of wrestling he falls and Thornton throws the lefts as the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Scatchard received a cross checking.

Comments: They drop the gloves at the blueline as Thornton grabs a bent over Parros. Thornton throws a body shot as the two wrestle around in close quarters, with Parros ripping Thornton's helmet off. They continue to grapple as Thornton throws a left. Parros lands two lefts to the back of Thornton's head as the two continue to struggle to get free. They exchange punches: Thornton with the left, Parros with the right, before Parros loses his balance and Thornton spins him to the ice.

Comments: As the horn sounds to end the game, a scrum develops in the corner. Thornton skates over to Vandermeer and they start pushing and shoving. Thornton drops his gloves and throws three quick rights, knocking Vandermeer's helmet off before Vandermeer is even able to drop his stick and gloves. They skate further down ice and wrestle in close quarters before Thornton gets free and throws two overhand rights before switching hands and landing two short lefts. Thornton switches hands again and throws a left-right hook combination as Vandermeer continues to try and get an arm free. Thornton lands two more lefts and an uppercut before connecting with two overhand rights to the back of Vandermeer's head. Vandermeer finally gets loose and lands a right as Thornton lands another right and misses with an uppercut. Thornton connects with a glancing left hook as they quickly exchange right hands. Vandermeer misses with two overhand rights before Thornton misses with a left as he loses his balance and falls to the ice. Vandermeer gets in two body shots before the linesmen separate the two. Other Penalties: Matt Barnaby received a cross checking.

Comments: Right after the faceoff Gratton gives Thornton a little slash before the two drop the gloves and tie up. Gratton throws two quick rights while Thornton tries to get an arm free. Thornton does and throws five straight rights before Gratton returns fire and they go toe-to-toe. Gratton rips off Thornton's helmet and connects with two rights to the back of his head. Thornton then loses his balance and goes down to a knee before quickly getting back up. Gratton throws three rights and a body shot with Thornton throwing two rights during the flurry. Gratton throws two more rights and an uppercut before the two fall to the ice shortly after.

Comments: Perrott throws checks on Scott Hannan and Alyn McCauley, causing Thornton to go after Perrott as the two drop the gloves and tie up. They wrestle around in tight with Perrott ripping Thornton's helmet off as they go up against the glass. Perrott throws a right while the two continue to wrestle up against the glass. They're grappling in close quarters until Perrott throws four short rights and three left rabbit punches to the back and side of Thornton's head. Thornton continues to hold on and the two stand there until the linesmen intervene. Other Penalties: Mark Smith received a tripping.
