Comments: Avery lays a big hit on Oleg Saprykin and Leclerc follows Avery into the Kings zone. The whistle blows and they drop the gloves. Leclerc starts off with a right that pushes Avery to a knee. Avery straightens up while Leclerc throws a few more rights that don't land solidly. With his left arm locked onto Leclerc, Avery spins to throw a right of his own and Leclerc is knocked off-balance and falls to the ice while Avery lands the punch to the back of Leclerc's head. Avery throws a couple of more on the ice as the linesmen come in and break them apart. Other Penalties: Leclerc received an instigator and misconduct; Avery an elbowing.

Hordichuk comes off the bench and goes right after Avery, hitting him hard against the boards. Hordichuk drops his gloves and starts throwing rights as Avery turtles to the ice. Tim Gleason tries a head-first dive into Hordichuk, but misses and takes a linesman with him, allowing Hordichuk to throw a couple of more rights until the linesmen finally come in. Other Penalties: Hordichuk received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Sean Avery did not receive a fighting major.

Date Time For Against Opponent
Dec 02, 2005 1pd 04:11 LOS @ OTT Mike Fisher
Comments: Fisher and Avery come together at the redline and skate toward the faceoff circle as they square each other up. Avery is the first to grab on and he gets in a right that slightly connects. Avery then attempts an awkward uppercut that misses, and Fisher comes back with a right that hits shoulder pad. Avery is on the offense again as Fisher's punch looked to slightly throw him off-balance. He throws a short right that hits shoulder pad, and he in turn gets sent off-balance. Fisher then throws an uppercut that may have slightly connected. Avery is back on his feet again and Fisher connects with two rights that don't appear to have done any damage. They wrestle for position, and each player tries a series of rights, but they are tied up pretty good. Sensing that the fight was near it's end Avery then atempts a body slam sending himself off-balance, and by that point the linesmen were in to break it up.

Date Time For Against Opponent
Apr 01, 2006 2pd 10:13 @ LOS DAL Brenden Morrow
Comments: Morrow takes an extra whack at Mathieu Garon after the whistle and becomes the victim of shoves from Avery and Mike Weaver. Avery keeps a glove up in Morrow's face, causing Morrow to throw a gloved punch at him. Players pile in and Avery shoves Morrow a few more times before they move away from the scrum and drop the gloves. Morrow skates right up to Avery and grabs him with Avery throwing a right to start things off. Morrow returns fire with a right while Avery peppers him with constant left-handed jersey-jabs. Morrow then misses with three wide rights that Avery is able to duck under. Avery gets Morrow up against the glass and proceeds to land nine unanswered rights to the top and side of Morrow's head. Avery throws an uppercut and gets Morrow in a headlock, keeping him there until the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Morrow received a roughing.
