Two minutes for turning your back on an ''obvious'' incoming hit.
Carcillo and Richards should have both recieved assists on the subsequent 4 on 2 goal.

Why do they bother having two refs instead of one if they let Volchenkov get away with that dangerous hit on Gagne into the boards that led to the Ottawa goal? Terrible officiating!

Dangerous hit by Volchenkov. Glad to see Gagne get his own payback intstead off Carcillos trash ass jumping in.

Bad non-call by the refs. Gagne lost it. Give him a "hockeyfights" win, but there wasn't a fight.

It's amazing how some of the tools on here who claim knowledge of the sport accuse Gagne of "turning into" the hit from behind. He is facing the pass, and turns his body to shoot it up the ice. I'd like to know how you alleged "hockey guys" get any power behind the puck without torquing your shoulders. You sound like a bunch of limp-wristed floor hockey players...
Volchenkov was jumped unfairly? He was facing Gagne, who skated straight at him, and he knew what he did. If he thought Gagne was coming to talk about the nightlife in Ottawa, he's even dumber than some of the posters on this site.
That being said...Gagne didn't land one punch...so call it a draw...

Not really a fight, Gagne just lost it. Bruiseyoureye, dude seriously get a life. Does making stupid comments on this site arouse you in some way? Thats the only thing I can think of. Get out a bit, I promise you there has to be at least one girl that might look at you. That way you can get your rocks off some other way than coming on here making stupid posts.

In one sudden moment of anger and frustration, Gags got me 19 PIM for my fantasy team. Thanks dude!

I'm sorry, if anyone else threw that hit on Gagne it would be considered boarding. Then you throw a goal in there I'm suprised the coach didnt start throwing water coolers and sticks out on the ice.

Volch should be suspended for that hit but probably wont.

SIDESHOW CARCILLO should have taken care of it

Someone should've jump on Volchenkov instead of standing by him and giving Sens a four on two attack(?!). That would've given this play a fair end...horrible refereeing though Gagne was stupid to give his back to defender.

Gangs turned his back at the last possible second, everyone in the league knows Volchenkov finishes his hits, I mean what is Volchenkov supposed to do, Gange saw him coming and turned. Then instead of doing something, Richards and Carcillo have a chat with Volchenkov that creates a 4 on 2.

bruiseyoureye........ you must be a sens fan, dirty hits all game by the sens, the philly can be a dirty team but not that game it was all the sens who were dirty, open yr eyes, he hit him from behind, and Karlsson is a ***** to.

That hit would be the training video for boarding or hitting from behind. Gagne took the pass and deflected it forward with his face to the boards. Getting drilled like that is what should be eliminated from the game. If it happened to Cindy Crosby the NHL would have taken Volchenkov's left testicle, first born child and suspended him for a year.
