Someone should've jump on Volchenkov instead of standing by him and giving Sens a four on two attack(?!). That would've given this play a fair end...horrible refereeing though Gagne was stupid to give his back to defender.

Gags has a history of concussions from similar hits. volchenkov knows it so he's gone to finsh his hit. Gags tried to turn and dodge it but was too late, never the less, a no call is a no call so Gags had to give the business to Volchenkov. It was smart of Volchenkov to get away with the cheapshot and not drop his gloves to fend off Gags tantrum. It cost the Flyers the game as they had 7 minutes to kill. This was a battle win for Gags and a strategic win for the senators. Gags is wearing a flyer uniform so there is no way Flyer hater Colin Campbell will discipline this hit. The rule about hitting from behind is there to protect players not to allow them a way to avoid taking a hit or drawing a penalty. Complete garbage.
