Is it really all that great that Giordano jumped in for Phanuef both here and when he got challanged after his Okposo hit? Isn't Dion big enough to take care of himself, or does his smaller teammate have to protect him every time out?

I'll actually have to rate this a draw--Gio, a non-fighter, landed as many (few?) punches as Martin . It should be fun watching the Isles and Leafs run up their fights totals (in the Isles case, against teams without their scrappers in the lineup) this year while competing the first overall pick in the next amateur draft.

martin connected with some great punches to giordano face in this fight. the islanders easily won all 3 fights in this game
