giordono has to lose the helmet there and smid is an idiot for taking his off.

What was that turtle action Johnson pulled? Cross check to the bean not enough, so I'll flop and cover? Pie. Smid dished the lid, Giordano doesn't; then loses. What a sportsman.

Why is it that all the Flamers fans keep mentioning what a non fighter that Giordano is when in reality, he's as much of, if not more of a fighter than what Smid is and Smid's a Euro on top of it? Actually, I think that I know why...because their looking for an excuse as to why he lost. At least Smid had the class and courage to drop the lid and Giordano, who spot picked a Euro to fight with, didn't have the cajones to drop his lid even though he had plenty of opportunity to do so and then he took a beating on top of it. Good, it was well deserved. Any guy who grows up playing in North America, especially in the CHL and doesn't drop his lid, even though the Euro that he's fighting does, deserves to lose and he did.

Smid is as non-fighter as Giordano. But he can take care of himself. BTW he fought draw against Carcillo last year.

I think Smid's hardest shots hit the helmet and didn't hurt Giordano much.

Smid takes his helmet off...Giordano sees Smid taking his helmet off, so he motions towards his helmet but does not take it off...wuss.

W Smid.
