wish these were still commonplace in the nhl :"( so awesome
I was in bed when a buddy from work called me to turn on espn..to catch this game...actually, this brawl...back in the day when boys were boys and fights were commonplace in the playoffs.
Typical cheap stuff by Nilan on Moller. What a piece of shi-ite Nilan was. He was never as good a fighter as the Montreal media made him out to be.
I loved it when Mickey Redmond was talking about the "spare goaltenders" fighting. Ah gotta love the Mickeyisms.
Sleigher deserved to get his ass kicked after that bs cheap shot, and kudos for Montreal trying to stand up for their own.
Overall a great brawl. But you know what I say more was a bunch of cheap shots by everyone. I saw a lot people grabbing each other not throwing any punches until a 2nd person jumps in...then they will throw a punch. I know those guys weren't pu$$ies, but they sure as hell looked like it in this brawl. As for the fights themselves, I give it a draw and a 1 since nobody was willing to g one-on-one
This is why old time hockey was so much better than today's product....Awesome moustaches.
Good times...good times...
Kickin it old school
GREAT FIGHT. Lots of real punches and a great taste of real, old time hockey!
All time fights. Tremblay seems to win easily, but I'd need to see another angle....lol.
You could always count on a few bench clearing brawls a year when Bruce Hood reffed a game. He let them play.
Great memories. I remember watching this game live,
I'm not sure if I have ever heard of a player getting 30 minutes in penalties in one altercation. Nilan 5 fighting, 5 fighting, 10 misc, 10 gm misc. lol
