After looking at the replay, a lot more of Potvin's early shots landed flush, but Hextall really came on late, so I gotta say draw. I love how everyone else on the ice stopped their brawls to see these two throw down.

As a Flyers fan residing in SW Ontario I get this scrap thrown in my face by Leaf fans all the time. The truth is this fight was a lot closer than most leaf-lovers would like to believe.
I do give Potvin the final decision though, he edges it out by landing the better variety of punches ( uppercuts did some damage) and scores points for the cut as well.
A classic goalie fight I remember watching live, and excitedly calling my buddies to tell them to tune in.

I may be young, but I still remember this fight. Watching it on Canadian TV is much better since you don't get the homer Philly TV casters. Potvin split hextall's eyebrow wide open, you can see him wiping away the blood after. If the clip went on you would see Domi laughing at hextall pointing to his eyebrow, Potvin took this hands down. Cherry even said so, told Hextall to keep his head up.

You don't see this that often anymore. Anyone who had the guts to Fight Ron Hextall should get a $100,000 bonus.
