A very god goalie fight here.
They threw very impressive shots early and holds on later.
Have to give a DRAW.
They lands some heavy shots, both man.

After looking at the replay, a lot more of Potvin's early shots landed flush, but Hextall really came on late, so I gotta say draw. I love how everyone else on the ice stopped their brawls to see these two throw down.

I may be young, but I still remember this fight. Watching it on Canadian TV is much better since you don't get the homer Philly TV casters. Potvin split hextall's eyebrow wide open, you can see him wiping away the blood after. If the clip went on you would see Domi laughing at hextall pointing to his eyebrow, Potvin took this hands down. Cherry even said so, told Hextall to keep his head up.

Potvin Dominated, I remember watching this game and thinking Potvin was going to get smoked when Hextall skated down, then Potvin beat him down...Awesome!!

Potvin took over the heavy weight championship for goalie fighting in his only NHL fight! The unknown Potvin layed a serious beating on one of the toughest goalies in the game...
WOW! That was an AMAZING fight watching it live... I still remember this game vividly!

I watched this game live. Hextall threw a lot, but didn't land much. This video didn't show Hextall cut wide open at the end. Potvin's punches landed, and landed hard.

Potvin was a monster in this fight. The Philly announcers had to pump up Hextall, but this was a clear win by Felix the Cat.

great fight. potvin held his own against hextall. i remember after the fight hextall was saying he was getting old b/c he was tired from just skating down there. he'll always be one of my favorite flyers ever.

fyi, potvin was wearing a ring
