Garnet Exelby vs Dustin Penner

How can some of you seriously not think that hit was garbage, big bloody deal if Hemsky looked over his shoulder, he got hit long after the pick was gone and the only reason he did is because Exelby noticed that he wasn't looking and decided to take the hit knowing that a much softer hockey player was vulnerable. Exelby is one of the cheapest hockey players in the league, always has been and always will be, and apparently most of you are just as useless and bloody well stupid as he is. I see Hemsky looking over his shoulder at that point to see where the pass went, to his teammate, then he drives toward the net, picked off he turns back defensively, he's smarter than to admire a pass that wasn't that nice anyway, you idiots

the hit was a fraction late, as evidenced by the refs giving Exelby an extra 2. In this instance, I have no problem with Penner going after him. Normally I hate it, but the hit was late.

Now for this hit, I can see a fight starting. It was a bit late and uncalled for, hence the immediate penalty for interference that was called. Penner did his duty.

WTF isn't big mac or even storts dressed for these games i'll never understand. Kudos to penner for finally doing something (and getting a w as far as i'm concerned). BS late hit one a franchise player from a team outside of the playoffs. Time to dress big mac and send a message to the rest of the non playoff teams cause that is horse crap. nuff said.
I'll bet tamblinne and klowe like the gms approach to fighting after watching this...if this is how the instigator gets called no one will be safe from the cheap shots.

Exelby should be suspended for that crap. He totally went out of his way to try and hurt Hemsky. Exelby always has been dirty and this proves it.

This is also perfect proof of why the instigator needs to go away. Exelby needs his ass beat for pulling that crap as well as a suspension.

Exelby is a complete piece of dogcrap.

If you watch closely, Exelby is simply following his man. He takes him out before he can break and get a pass back wide-open in front of the net. What should he have done? Hemsky is a ragdoll.

The fight is secondary to the hit. Give the win to Penner. He should have won. The only thing bigger on the ice is the zamboni... The hit was legal and Hemsky should have had his ass laid out by a linemate, much less an opponent, for watching his pass. Anyone who doesnt think this hit was legal needs to watch it again in slow motion. No way it was late...
