those Bruin teams in the 80's were the toughest of all time....even there scorers could fight and they were good body checking teams too. Just beat you up all over the ice.
Byers was one of the all time greats! Clear win for him but Berube was one tough S.O.B. too.....looked beaten up at the end but didn't pull the chute like some of today's chumps!

WOW! Byers connected with those uppercuts on The Cheif and he with stood them. I've seen Berube in other bouts and he was one tough dude but this one he got schooled once Byers got loose from that elbow pad.

Two real fighters when it was still worth watching hockey. Overall I think Berube was the better fighter and for a longer time, but Byers takes this one for sure. What some killer uppercuts he threw. I miss the days of hockey, in the 80's you still had rivalries and intensity. It faded fast through the 90's decade, and now, what a joke Bettman has made this league
