bunch of helmet shots. the thrill of a flyers victory, and the agony of a phila Homercast. Gimme a break about about the refereeing and diving complaints. Announce it both ways please. hey hockey doc. both players had shields on, get a clue instead of giving upstahl a pass. homer.

A punch to the visor is only a win in Flyers fans books... I suppose you take what you can get when your team constantly disappoints...

Posted by phisherman1995 on April 26, 2008 at 07:24 PM

Looked like it could have been a good one...

Posted by BattleAxe13 on April 17, 2008 at 06:17 AM

Green landed more, not quite sure if Upshall's Knockdown counts, Green looked a little off balance and he also got right back up and didn't seem fazed by the punch. Draw. The refs seem to want to jump right in to break things up quicker in the playoffs, if they would have let them go I think Green may have been able to take the fight over.

Posted by Juha82 on April 16, 2008 at 04:18 AM

A draw, Green starts losing his balance before that Upshall's punch,

Posted by blwiseass on April 17, 2008 at 02:54 PM

Draw. Neither player landed anything significant.

Posted by Humper on April 16, 2008 at 08:23 AM

That last shot from Upshall doesn't give him the win, it's questionable just how nasty it was. And it was the only punch thrown by him. On the other hand, Green did little either. Draw, and not much of one at that.

this official is a idiot!!!! tthis fight is very good but this official stopped this fight

Posted by gershy101 on April 21, 2008 at 03:36 PM

Caps fan here! Flyers suck! Bunch of whinny little bitches. Ovy's one goal and 4 assists is considered bad from a guy who is pretty much double teamed the whole series??? Took our heart?? Only thing you ever took from us was a pretzle and a cheesse stake right up your ass! Flyers fans can beat up a nine year old kid wearing a caps jersey in philly... you guys are real tough lemmie tell ya. GO CAPS!!! DOWN WITH HOCKEY'S WORST TEAM AND BIGGEST BUNCH OF BABIES!

Posted by pierre levesque on April 16, 2008 at 08:06 PM

Small fight...

Posted by gdames51 on May 01, 2008 at 10:31 AM

The last two punches, and the last one in particular seal the decision. The straight right by Upshall decks Green.

Posted by sidewinder3001 on May 14, 2008 at 01:10 PM

Regardless of Green slipping or not Upshall landed a haymaker to the face. Upshall wins it.

Posted by hockeytown11x on July 05, 2008 at 05:55 PM

Boring fight. One good punch. Upshall winner.

Posted by Behn Wilson on April 16, 2008 at 12:22 PM

Upshall landed the more significant punches in a short, but enthusiastic 6 punch fight. A final tit for tat... Hey behn 3, glad you took the bait, puppy. Maybe you're not all bad, after all. First things first though... Yeah Einstein, I have no idea who Behn is. My screen name choice must have been a sheer coincidence! And by "unknown", I meant not exactly a 'Schultz', 'Nilan' or Probert household name, but still the meanest nastiest hombre that ever flew just under the radar of most part-time fight fans. Anyway, although I'd love to kick your AHL intellectualism back to Iowa, the fact that you actually (somehow) seem to appreciate Wilson, makes me want to go easy on you. So, I'll tell you what...I'll ignore your lack of originality (the number 3, pretty well tells you who came first, and why not 23, while we're at it?), if you promise to become less of a whiner while using his name. There, out of repsect to the man, are we Behn-buddies now, or do I have to send my Gilbert Dionne, Mike Bossy, Terry Harper line out to straighten out your Gerry Flemming trio? PS I was actually serious about Kurtenbach being a great alternate choice, he was 'Barry Beck' tough.

Honestly, they are both featherweights, hardly worth a review! This fight did nothing for momentum, etc., just minor entertainment.

Posted by Wensinkfan on April 17, 2008 at 12:47 AM

Upshall wins with a knockdown to the visor!?

Posted by TheShaneTrain on April 15, 2008 at 10:44 PM

not much here. nice to see upshall drop 'em, the guy's been flying around like a lunatic lately. edge to upshall for the last punch that put green down. :Note: that doesn't mean tko, it means the punch sent green off balance...just to clarify before people start hating on us flyer fans in here saying that we are calling for a tko.

Posted by staceyb on April 16, 2008 at 05:23 AM

Not exactly a memorable fight.

Posted by Chill on April 17, 2008 at 12:33 PM

Another Flyer bully, that Scottie Upshall is such a cheapshot artist. GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by mikebflorida on April 16, 2008 at 09:32 AM

Knockdown win for Upshall. The hit Upshall threw looked pretty cheap and Green was standing up for his mate and gets blasted for it. Ok, whatever. On two teams loaded with tough guys, these are the two that drop leather? I hate Gary Buttman.

Posted by jackmcc100 on April 16, 2008 at 12:35 AM

Great timing by Upshall, Green has been good all series. Upshall steps up for the team and drops Green. Good win Upshall, very bad loss and decision by Green

Posted by kingpintoo on April 15, 2008 at 11:07 PM

Green went down like the Caps are going down, very quickly and without much fanfare. Does O have to fight for em too?

Posted by tim13 on April 16, 2008 at 11:04 AM

Upshall wins. If Green was off balance, which allowed Upshall to send him down, it's his own fault. I hate when people act like keeping your balance isn't part of a hockey fight. It is. Actually, it just might be the most important part.

Posted by chainsawman on April 18, 2008 at 09:29 PM

average fight, Upshall wouldn't try that crap with Laraque from Pitt or even Roberts. He knows he'd get his ass handed to him just like Egger did. The big punch in this fight looked like it sorta missed and Green more or less slipped. He definetly hopped right back up so obviously it didn't connect !! I give the fight to Upshall but it wasn't very impresssive just like most Philthadelphia fights. If the flyers win this series thats as far as their getting.

Posted by Bigford83 on April 16, 2008 at 10:15 AM

I'm gonna give it to Upshall because (it at least appears) he hit Green squarely in the face while Green only connected with Uppy's helmet. More importantly, GOOD TRADE-OFF by Upshall to get Green sitting for 5. Fortunately for Green it didn't cost his team on the scoreboard, but I'll take Green for Upshall any day of the week.

Posted by Flyersfan4life2 on April 21, 2008 at 10:31 AM

I was reviewing some of these and saw a funny comment from Chainsaw man. Bringing Laraque and roberts into this when were not even playing *hittsburgh. Why would laraque or roberts even go after upshall? Upshall went after green so he can get him off the ice. You dont see him fighting every game. It was a win win situation for him. Good job on trying to make your team look tough by calling out upshall who fought someone that doesnt fight either. Chainsaw man is a clown and shouldnt comment anymore on fights. HES A MORON!

Posted by brennank on April 16, 2008 at 04:30 PM

Upshall got him with a good one. The FLYERS team got 6 better ones! The Caps are no match for the Flyers. AO is Crosby new diving partner. The great players play the game with respect and heart! LIACH is a AHL at best player on the Flyers org. TIMMO is fine and will have his number! FLYERS IN 5 or 6 Then the B***** Avery comes to town for 50/50 Suck & F*** on 5th ST. Then plays Disney hockey with the rest of his kids! Avery should be on a line with AO & Sid and they all can get their diapers changed at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by QUIGGS22 on April 16, 2008 at 10:02 AM

Crap fight but Upshall gets the win,,,,Green is playing great in this series but he should be embarrassed about that fight !!!

Posted by hockey doc on April 16, 2008 at 08:09 AM

not many punches thrown, Upshall landed all of them. Green is a puss for not losing the sheild.

Posted by balddyd on April 17, 2008 at 11:10 PM

geez the flyer hater are out this playoff season. clear win for upshall

Posted by corboy on April 15, 2008 at 11:15 PM

Upshall knocked down Green with a nice right. He's been playing like the Tasmanian Devil this series, hitting everything and everyone. Nothing like playoff hockey.

Posted by tpr1960 on April 17, 2008 at 11:49 AM

Little Scottie landed the only one that mattered . Neiljc probably can't even ice skate , oh yeah Neil , suck it !

Posted by JMac1536 on April 15, 2008 at 10:45 PM

upshall lands a nice punch to Green's jaw before they fall, winner Upshall

Posted by PFLY64 on April 16, 2008 at 10:33 AM

ANY IDIOT THAT DOESNT THINK THE FLYERS WILL GET SCREWED BY THE LEAGUE JUST LOOK AT THE SUPPOSED EXPERTS PICKS AND THEN READ BEATEN TO THE PUNCH BY MIKE WISE ON THE HOME PAGE, WHAT A FREAKING JOKE HOCKEY IS A "TEAM GAME" FRIGGIN PUSSY, 7-20 GOAL SCORERS, CAPS 1

Posted by creeperama on April 16, 2008 at 08:09 AM

Where are all the haters???? What the Flyers are looking good so everyone is hush hush. Where are all those Crapitals fans that were talking smack before the series started? I would be quiet too, if my team was getting destroyed. Alex who? We just took your teams heart.

Posted by rusheetinme on April 16, 2008 at 06:45 AM

Green goes looking for the fight, then cant back it up. Green throws some shots that miss. Upshall wins for the shot to the FACE (not helmet) even if Green is off balance. Then Green throws another shot that misses after refs move in. You cannot give it to Green when he doesnt even land a punch.

Posted by eskimorocker on April 16, 2008 at 07:18 AM

the wind from Upshall's last blow knocked Green down...win for Upshall...GO FLYERS...

Posted by BROWN - KOCUR on April 16, 2008 at 03:24 PM

I give Upshall the win but that punch wasn't as hard as it looked. Green poped right back up. I wish the linesmen didn't step in so fast and let them go some more. I guess since Buttmen was watching the had to put an end to it fast. KEVIN COLLINS LIVES !!!!

Posted by xJDx on April 16, 2008 at 08:52 AM

Yes, green was off-balance before the Upshall hit, but it was Upshall twisting him (and Green swinging wildly and missing that put him off balance). Upshall wins for 2 reasons: 1. He landed the only punch that wasn't to someone's helmet 2. This took Green off the ice for 5 minutes at the start of the 3rd with the Flyers up 2 goals.

Posted by BrianTheAdsFan on April 16, 2008 at 10:20 AM

Nice couple of punches by Upshall for the KD win.

Posted by NE MPLS on April 19, 2008 at 03:00 PM

Clear win Upshall... Good to see the Flyers doing well.

Posted by Defmincex13 on April 16, 2008 at 02:03 AM

upshall

Posted by Rebel Banker on April 16, 2008 at 08:23 AM

WIN Upshall!!! way to go green...you get floored by a guy that weighs 160lbs soaking wet. HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!

Posted by BooSanta on April 16, 2008 at 12:48 PM

Upshall lets Green get some easy rights thrown, one lands, but It's green who's going off balance. Upshall gets a haymaker to land as Green goes down. With Brashear too busy setting up and scoring goals in these playoffs, one of the other Cap behemoths had to pick up the slack, and of all things against a pesky little gnat in upshall who gives away size to the bambis cleaning up the ice during breaks, and It's Green the gets dropped! Not that Green is a great pugilist in any case, but this was bad. The camera didn't catch that he was sticking up for a teammate that upshall nailed with a check before the fight. The Caps managed to score a crosscheck on the flyers best AO repellent in Timmo in this game, but they're getting slapped around by a team nobody expected to get to the second round.

Posted by smwarpig63 on April 18, 2008 at 11:27 PM

Upshall landed the only good hit. I can't believe it took this long for a fight.

Posted by BehnWilson3 on April 17, 2008 at 01:08 AM

It's the playoffs, you have to pick your spots,Green can't take himself off the ice for 7 mins. in the 3rd,slight edge Upshall for last punch. Hey original Behn,AHL intellectualism, that's a low blow, don't quite get the 'puppy' thing either, just took the name and number of my all-time fav. Flyer,i'll save being a 'whiner" just for the Pens, its a PA. thing, after all Paul Baxter did sucker punch Behn in '81. 3 Hall of Famers against Shank/Fleming ,not fair P.S. Paul Holmgren reminded me of Kurtenbach

Posted by baldhedjer on May 04, 2008 at 10:36 AM

Nice solid crack to the jaw and down goes Green. Scottie Upshall is quickly becoming a premier fighter in a league with too few of those left.

Posted by upshall9 on April 16, 2008 at 08:37 PM

upshall is the clear winner...he comes up big with the KO to the face and gets their second best player in the box for 7 mins in a crucial spot n a crucial game...

Posted by Knuckles5 on April 16, 2008 at 12:22 AM

To his jaw, Are you nuts JMACK1536 hit him right in the helmet and sent him off balance.

Posted by azjim on April 16, 2008 at 06:32 AM

I thought Green went down more from being off balance than from the punch. He got up immediately. They were both ready to keep going when the linesmen jumped in. It looked like it could have been a good fight.

Posted by nofx8881 on April 16, 2008 at 12:17 AM

Nice to see Upshall drop the gloves. He goes out there and talks trash and hits people, but I wasn't sure that he'd ever drop the gloves and fight. Wasn't much of a fight, but he landed a nice right to Green's face to knock him down. Green got an extra two, I believe, which only added insult to injury.

Posted by thepolishkid88 on April 16, 2008 at 01:27 PM

UPshall landed the only punch that mattered

Posted by ROCK HAWK on April 17, 2008 at 08:39 AM

No matter if Green was off balance before the punch, or after ..the fact is it landed , and thats about all that happened - slight win for Upshall. If they let em keep going once they got up i think it could have been a good fight , and suspect Green would have won..but that didnt happen.

Posted by PittPens1787 on May 17, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Upshall gets the 'W' in a weak fight overall. Only a few punches, and Upshall landed the only decent one at the end.

Posted by Spaz on April 19, 2008 at 01:59 PM

Green's still sporting a nice shiner 4 days after this one.

Posted by psycho22 on April 28, 2008 at 09:51 PM

wasnt long of a fight
