WOW, some scrap. Bit of a elbow from Mcsorley on Gilmour to start things off. Which McSorley knew would've started something off. Sure enough Clark came racing over, clark got the early advantage throwing rights, but Mcsorley's a battler and came right back towards the end. A good attempt from Clark but Mcsorley came out the better fighter.

They both did it very well, a long scrap.
LionMarty EDGED Clark?
Maybe, tough to call.
Clark's moment was a very good in the start, as he lands 4 heavy rights flush to the mark but LionMarty lands one solid right to the side of Clark's helmet and lands soon a heavy right to the face of Clark.
But Clark won that exchange.
McSorley was active later as he lost his jersey.
LionMarty OUTPOINTED/OUTMATCHED Clark but Clark's early moment was a BIG ONE.
So i put a DRAW for the outcome.

Love how McSorley blocks the camera so no one can see his hambergered face. Win Wendel on severe damage.

A classic... shows the kind of Captain Clark was.

Clark won, hands down. McSorley's Rob Ray at the end didn't fool me. Not a mark on Wendel, who by the way is 5'11 190lbs. Owned him in 1996 with the Islanders too.

Clark did his best, but McSorley was one of the best ever.

Stuff of legend, i voted a clark win, quite apart from the serious damage done to McS, this fight permanently affected both fighters reps, it was the high point of Clark's fighting career ( or career period) and the start of a slow slide to the bottom for McSorley

Clark was tough...but Lucic doesn't drop them with Laraque and suddenly he's Steve Ott? There must be a middle ground here somewhere.

The first four right hands that Wendel threw did more damage than McSorley and his fans would like to admit. His face was a MESS after this fight and Wendel looked unscathed. I love Wendel and have to admit that He was the winner here. Wendel is a terrier, eh. And if you've ever owned a terrier (of any kind) you know what I mean.

Any normal human would have been sleeping after that Clark anvil. McSorley is tough.

It was McSorley hanging in there, not Clark. Clark pounded McSorley with 3 or 4 rights right off the bat. McSorley's a tough bugger and he kept going, but his face was a mess after this one. Clark left without a scratch on him.

I give it to Clark due to landing the harder punches.

The first shot Clark lands is one of the hardest punchest I've seen in a hockey fight -- I saw Clark land a few of those in his day and McSorely is the only guy who stayed upright, so full marks to him there. The first half is a slugfest with Clark holding the edge. McSorely made up some ground at the end once his jersey was off, although he was pretty gassed at that point.

McSorely landed more shots, but slight edge to Clark for landing the bigger punches. Great scrap, both guys deserve a ton of credit.

For those who voted for McSorley you must be forgetting the mark Clark left on his face. It was shown the next day on the paper, McSorley with a big black eye, his eye was almost swollen shut after the fight. No way did McSorley win the fight, maybe he landed more, but Clark landed harder and clearer shots.

Clark was the clear winner of this fight. He landed some hay-makers early in the fight and did the most damage as seen in the paper the following day. Front page of the Toronto Sun showed McSorley with a black eye that was almost swollen shut. McSorley landed some shots at the end but most of them were to the back of Wendel's head. Wendel was one of the best ever and the clear winner of this classic bout.
