Behind the play, Probert and McSorley push and shove each other until they finally decide to drop the gloves. They tie up with Probert throwing two body shots just before the two exchange a couple of rights. Probert continues to throw body shots and try and get his arm out of McSorley's grasp while McSorley returns fire with a right. The two grapple for a short while until Probert gets loose and just misses with an uppercut inside. Probert then throws an uppercut and right hand while McSorley fights to get his jersey down from over his head. McSorley's jersey comes off and he throws seven straight rights to the side of Probert's face and helmet. Probert throws three rights that are blocked before connecting with a long right hook. McSorley fires back with two rights and Probert throws another uppercut just before landing a big right that knocks McSorley down to his knees. McSorley pops back up and the two exchange multiple rights while they skate into the boards with McSorley switching to the left and Probert staying with the right. McSorley switches back to the right and the two stand back and go back and forth with numerous rights, each connecting with almost all of their punches until the linesmen see an opening and finally end this long, long fight. McSorley skates away with a cut over his left eye.

One of the best fights you'll ever see. 2 of the toughest fighters of all time going at it and Probert winning on points.

It's one of the best fight all the time!!
They fights until to the morning.
I understand a draw but it's EDGE/NARROw win for Probie in my book.
He lands more better.

the best fight i've ever seen. when you think of the great fighters of our time, you think of these two and they delivered with over 90 seconds of lefts and rights and blood and guts. one on one, you'll never get a better fight.

Possibly the best fight ever in skates. I can't declare a winner. Both guys gave everything they had and more. They enjoyed it as much as the crowd. Mutual respect with those two guys.

great fight indeed.. but depends on your idea of 'best ever' is, it's not my favorite... but I like more wide open bombs thown. Not that they 2 heavies were doing any damage.. just not as exciting to me than seeing haymakers thrown.

Probie with the split decision here based on the one knockdown and total punching pts........McSorley was a hand full, one of a few fighters that had great stamina, along w/ Probie and Langdon that I can recall......This was my all time favorite fight.....Being a Wings fan for life, its still hard to digest that we play sissy hockey compared to the Probie/Kocur hey days.........Winning has been great for the last decade plus, cant complain bout that, but at least Bowman always had enforcers on his winning teams and very gutsy....

Probert was the king along with Kocur at the time.....if only the two would have been cloned and brought back to hockeytown today, then noone would stand a chance against either one of these two; boogaard, brashear, gratton, larraque,or any other so called tough guy today would have to bow down to the bruise brothers, Kocur and Probert the fighting kings forever hands down!
