That little piece of crap always goes after the marquee players evidenced here by first taking a roughing against Johnson ...then challenging Stamkos and once Stamkos obliges he flops to the ice like the cowardly little Boston puke he is Stamkos for the one shot he does land......typical Boston $hit.....I gave this fight a 10 just for the sheer joy of watching the rat faced boy eat one and then grovel. Oh wait now I'm going to get hit with all the stupid Boston supporters drivel like " you would want him on your team " etc....... No I wouldn't..... not him or Casper 17 ....the disappearing ghost was -1 ....had 3 hits and 22 shifts all from a guy ....who makes 6 million a year. Is it okay to talk about the Bruins here since I'm always criticized for bringing them up when they aren't involved.....I'm forced because you never hear any more about them .....and when you do it's usually something like this........FORE .......golfing season right around the know who else is right around the corner

Posted by Boston Sucks on March 22, 2015 at 08:07 PM

Boston is a joke. Have fun on the golf course losers.

Posted by Axel_pup on March 23, 2015 at 01:24 AM

I'm a Bruins fan that loves Marchand's talents but not the really cheap stuff. He got away with tackling someone from behind and then swinging when he was down. So I was OK with seeing Stamkos give him a deserved beatdown. Problem is it didn't happen. Stamkos shouldn't have dropped them if he had no intention of even attempting to throw a punch. Boldbilly, can I have some of whatever you are smoking? Marchand didn't "eat one", even if he should have, and it was pretty obvious Stamkos went looking for Marchand. I gave this a draw and a 1.

The fight sucked...but nice to see a captain look out for his teammate....especially one like Stamkos(non-fighter).... As for the was a clean submarining there.

Posted by Titzmgee on March 22, 2015 at 10:34 PM

Brad Marshand can take any man off his game. as he does here. Worst fighter on the team. I haven't read below yet but I bet bold billy is having a complete meltdown. ha ha

Posted by Massive Coiler on March 22, 2015 at 08:29 PM

Usually I don't think a take down automatically equals a win, but when it's Stamkos against Marchand, I'll make an exception. Bad fight, but a superstar is involved so it ups the entertainment value, win Stamkos.

Posted by bigmike53 on March 22, 2015 at 10:57 PM

Nice tackle by Stamkos! Draw.

Posted by bdpetroni on March 23, 2015 at 09:48 AM

For all the people calling Marchand's hit on Fillpula "cheap", learn the game. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that hit. And Fillpula responded with a hard hit on Marchand. That should have been the end of it. Stamkos had his panties in a bunch for no reason whatsoever. Also, Stamkos was 100% fresh coming off the bench and Marchand was at the end of a shift. So before you cheer Stamkos, it's a lot easier to be brave when you're challenging a guy who's dead tired. The real scumbag in this sequence was Stamkos. This was a nothing fight. No punches thrown or landed. And Great Murray, the puck was released maybe .2-.3 seconds before the hit. That's called "finishing your check." You learn it when you're about 12 years old. And the hit didn't target the legs, that hit is called a "hipcheck", you learn that when you're 12 too.

Posted by mikebflorida on March 23, 2015 at 10:19 AM

"The hit on Fillpula" Isn't it the dirty, cheap, rat like submarine hit on Fillpula that the little pole smoker is famous for? Great for Stamkos to challenge that pile of sh1t and slam his ass and not get hurt doing it. The Bolts scored 2 quick goals immediately after so it's a definite win for Stamkos and the Lightning even though it was a crap fight, shouldn't have even been majors. What a joke these refs are. Sigh. By the way, this was Stammer's first fight in 7 YEARS. Perfect job of leading his team and not letting that puke, punk, toilet bug piece of sh1t get away with his crap since the refs obviously do. Now time to read through the idiotic homer comments from the Jack Edwards crowd.

Posted by EK65 on March 22, 2015 at 10:42 PM

Nothing really happened here. Overall gave it a 2 and a draw. Nice to see Stammer stick up for his mate. Marchand being Marchand

Posted by nait on March 22, 2015 at 06:24 PM

Stamkos bear hugs Machand then goes to the ice.

Posted by Orr Fourever on March 23, 2015 at 04:14 PM

I like both these Players. Both bring a different skill set to the game. Having said that. Stamkos tried being a good Captain like Vincent or Iggy and kinda half pulled it off. As far as Marchy there's no quit in that dog, did what he had to to spark is team. Fock has anyone seen the Big Bad Bruins? Not. Well anyway it's a draw... I get a kick out of Boldbilly. He's picking the Habs roster now. I hope Ottawa does get in. They have the Habs #.

Posted by Hateball on March 23, 2015 at 06:36 PM

what game did some of you tools watch nothing landed one punch thrown and both went down to the ice, wow haters much. Get a clue. Marchand went after Stamkos boldbilly your one of the biggest tools on here.

Posted by English_Bruin on March 23, 2015 at 01:40 PM

Real spirited bout between 2 eager combatants. Sorry, I was watching different video then. That was an embarrassment, sums up the Bruins at the moment, losing games and no fight in them. Only Adam Mcqauid has give a good account of himself this season. One word : Shocking :(

Posted by N_active_god on March 25, 2015 at 07:16 PM

Are you retarded boldbilly? Wait, I already know the answer. You must live in a fantasy land if you think Marchand makes 6 mil.

Posted by Bostonfinity on March 23, 2015 at 08:17 AM

Straight up respect votes for Stamkos / against Marchy here. Draw and a 1 if these were 2 silhouettes going at it. Goofy biased voting. Would've been cool to see them actually go and not Stamkos just skate into and tackle Marchy.

Posted by dpearson14 on March 23, 2015 at 06:00 PM

Bold Billy idk what color tint your glasses have on them but clearly you can't see. Stamkos was the one doing the challenging for a hit he didn't like and then did nothing but grab and tackle Marchand. Why drop the gloves if you aren't gonna throw a punch. I'm not a fan of Marchand's cheap antics sometimes but at least he has the balls and respect to drop the gloves and answer for it unlike many players in the league (mainly from Montreal). Drink a glass of haterade and then start watching games objectively please. Just because you want the nonsense you said in your rant to be true doesn't mean that is what happened. Watch it again...

Posted by DARCY T on March 25, 2015 at 06:01 AM

stamkos didnt like marchand's hit on filppula and challenged marchand.he obliged but went for take down immediately...i love when 2 skilled guys fight but this one didnt last long...crap draw

Posted by orangecuse on March 23, 2015 at 09:12 PM

Imay hate the Bruins but this wasn't a fight It was to players that really didn't want to throw a punch. I didn't think the hit was cheap every time someone goes to the ice it"s dirty now a days. The funny thing is Stamkos was willing sparked his team to a romp and the Big Bad Bruins took it then played with there tails between there legs .

Posted by bbruins358 on March 22, 2015 at 11:32 PM

Draw....... Stamkos has size over Marchand and all he did was tackle him..... Not deserving of a win even if he is a superstar and everyone is on his d*ck

Posted by delos on March 23, 2015 at 02:19 PM

Grab match, no punches thrown. Stamkos wanted the fight but ended up just hugging.

Posted by mmadced on March 23, 2015 at 08:54 PM

the montreal morons thought this was a fight. this was a hugathon with no punches thrown as much as you morons would like to think there was. what was the date of the last Stanley cup for montreal? I thought so.... lol oh by the way mikeb your dad Jack E. wants you to call. hes to embarrassed to be seen with you

Posted by 18buell on March 23, 2015 at 06:21 PM

Stamkos with the take down. Marchand looked like he wanted to fight. I give it to Marchand for showing up to play the game and willing to take on a bigger opponent. Good stuff Marchand hope you remain a Bruin for your entire career.

Posted by dcmac on March 24, 2015 at 01:31 AM

Was more of a tackle than a fight.

Crap Fight. Stamkos Wins On Takedown.

Posted by gsrae on March 22, 2015 at 10:34 PM

Takedown by Stamkos.

Posted by bobowen34 on March 23, 2015 at 10:19 AM

Marchand with the take down. He wanted nothing to do with a real fight. Stamkos with the win and a 1 rating.

Posted by Jim02351 on March 24, 2015 at 07:11 AM

When is a nothing "fight" important? When it causes the Bruins to quit and that's exactly what happened, they quit. Been a Bruins fan for 60+ years and in all those years have never, ever seen them intimidated after a fight until Sunday night.

Posted by legend22 on March 24, 2015 at 12:08 PM

lots of boston haters here voting stamkos....nothing here but a draw and a 1 at best.

Posted by Mpatrick329 on March 22, 2015 at 06:22 PM

Lets dance shall we.

Posted by kkdowning on March 23, 2015 at 09:37 AM

Don't recall seeing Stamkos fight before -- not sure I have seen it yet as this was a wrestling match. Not being the converse of BoldBilly here, just thought this fight never got going and so giving it a draw. I do, however, have to take exception with Brick erroneously claiming that Marchand is "a stand-up guy". Not sure that claim is supported by evidence.

Posted by Jez-x on March 22, 2015 at 06:07 PM

5 min for hugging and rolling on the ice, wow.

Posted by Nick21Cwll on March 24, 2015 at 07:14 PM

Posted by lostgull on March 23, 2015 at 11:52 AM

I think they only got majors because the gloves came off. No punches and a week take down. Meh.

Posted by Enzo75 on March 23, 2015 at 01:02 AM

It looks like Marchand was mounted by Stamkos. What is up with trying to tackle and f*uck your opponent? Is this really what fighting has come to in the NHL? This humpfest was a complete embarassment for both players. WTF?

Posted by montrealSUCKS on March 23, 2015 at 11:50 AM

A nothing fight and a draw. I love reading these comments ha.

Posted by Jaxon on March 26, 2015 at 07:22 PM

Gave it a 1. And Bonehead Billy gave it a 10. Probably checked off 'KO' as well. LOL. Such a douche. And why has he no credibility here? Well there you go! Stamkos with the W. (though I must've missed the Stamkos bomb Bonehead talks about).

Posted by mrunohoo on March 24, 2015 at 08:33 PM

LET'S GET READY TO.....never mind, it's already over.

Posted by Jellyczar on March 23, 2015 at 05:04 PM

No fight here.... a grab and drop..... I don't vote on whether I like one player or another... just the fight... or here the non fight

Posted by dwiegand91 on March 24, 2015 at 09:07 AM

Marchand was outmatches in the size category by Stamkos. Stamkos was looking to quiet Marchand and get him to stop throwing his body around. I would say that this wasnt Stamkos's fight, but its always good to see a star player drop the gloves for his team.

Posted by BruinsAandR on June 02, 2017 at 01:41 PM

Stamkos kicked his ass

"And an absolute beatdown delivered by Marchand!!!" - Jack Edwards

Posted by Humper on March 22, 2015 at 09:40 PM

@Massive Coiler nails this one perfectly. Except he left out the part about Marchand biting the big one.

Posted by mfatty2 on March 23, 2015 at 03:37 AM

I dont know what everyone else watched but stamkos went in trying to throw punches Marchand initiated a take down and Stamkos used that to throw him down. Marchand shouldnt of dropped them if he didnt want to actually fight

Posted by o0o_dEjAvU_o0o on March 26, 2015 at 09:31 PM

I feel sorry for all bruin fans who posted... Are you guys even reading what you are posting?? Listen to yourselves winin and dining.. Lol listen to yourselves come up with such a lame @$$ excuses.. That stamkos has a size advantage.. Another one is that stamkos is in 100% percent and marchand is so tired coz he just finished his shift... You know wut?!?!? BITE ME!!!!!!... Who ever you are... give this page some dignity and just drop d3@d! Not much to go on.. Draw..

Posted by mudman55 on March 24, 2015 at 07:12 AM

I saw Stamkos throw a semi-punch. Therefore, he wins, as Marchand threw nothing. Note: Bruins fan here, and I think Marchand is a douchebag. I hate the opportunist nonsense that he does. Way too many Boston homers think it's OK when he does it but not OK when someone from another team does. I suppose that's true of a lot of fans of other teams about their players, but "agitators" (a.k.a. "douchebags") piss me off- I don't care if they are on my team or not. Edit: I freaking love Stamkos. Big heart, big talent. He acted like a captain here. Good on him.

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on March 23, 2015 at 01:39 PM

Waste of 5 minutes for both players. Now that all the Boston haters have come out of the woodwork running their mouth like idiots about this being a beatdown, Marchand was just hugged him etc. Of these two, Marchand is the only one who has done a full square off with an opponent with HELMETS OFF. Even if it was against Subban, Subban is a much larger man. It's crazy how many of you losers have a boner over Stamkos hugging Marchand down to the ice. Pathetic lol. Anyways I hope you all eat shit and die.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 22, 2015 at 11:01 PM

Stamkos is a douche bag. He goes in and just tackles Marchand. I hope he gets his ass kicked brutally by anyone for that bush league horse sh!t. Granted, Marchand can be a dick, but come on if you are going to fight, just fight!

Posted by arielgonzo97 on March 22, 2015 at 05:56 PM

Marchand being the rat that he is, throwing dirty/late hits and then gets the Stammer Hammer.

Posted by EdNo on March 23, 2015 at 06:18 PM

Ahhh Baldbilly, you are STILL such a bitter little CumJunkie... bitter that Boston: 1) year in and out has the toughest team in the NHL 2) has won a Stanley Cup while you bloody, festering ass-boil of a team yearns to even get to a Final and bitter that 1) your best ( and only) friend is a Blow- Up doll 2) you can't even see your "little guy"when you stand up unless you are looking in a mirror ... that being said, this year's pathetic excuse for a Bruins team makes me ashamed on a nightly basis. At least Marchand brings some attitude, but none of the rest (including Lucic and Chara who nightly disappoint with their complete unwillingness to light a physical fire).. DRAW ( but clearly a motivational victory for Stamkos)

Posted by hentze.tyler on March 22, 2015 at 05:56 PM

Boring fight, Stamkos did use his weight well and leverage Marchand down quick.

Posted by rdemps01 on March 23, 2015 at 10:17 AM

Stamkos has enough.. proves his point, takes him down. Bolts score two and go on to win. Win for Stamkos. Loss for Marchand and Loss for the Bruins.

Posted by toy boy dan on March 23, 2015 at 07:04 AM

Stamkos clear winner, I am from Boston and was cheering for Stamkos go figure!

Posted by flyerguy on March 23, 2015 at 10:38 AM

I put Marchand up near the top with the biggest pieces of GARBAGE in the league. Too bad Stamkos didn't spit his head open. Marchand,Rinaldo,Downie and more are pure GARBAGE

Posted by Great Murray on March 23, 2015 at 08:02 AM

Marchand makes a purely bull chit hit that should have drawn a interference call...nothing unusual about that from Marchand. To the guy above; the hit was cheap because it targeted the Bolt's legs...It should have been a penalty because the puck wasn't anywhere near the Bolt...that's interference. It was just Marchand being a Punk. He has hurt the "B's" more than he has helped them the last 2 years...but I hope they trade him to my team...I love it when he is doing that chit for my guys. Stamkos bull rushes Marchand to the ice and gets the win for the simple reason that the little Boston Punk didn't do anything about it, then or later.

Posted by King of Goons on March 23, 2015 at 11:40 AM

Good idea by Stamkos. It's a shame he didn't break the little rat's jaw.

Posted by tpr1960 on March 23, 2015 at 04:35 PM

Love it ! Marchand hung on like my daughter hugs her blankie ! About time beak-nose got thrown down ! Love it ! Come on bean-town morons now miss the playoffs !!!!! Love it !

Posted by Popeye Spinach on March 23, 2015 at 02:01 AM

Who would actually vote for Marchand here? Obviously, Boston fans, but come on! How many ways do you have to lose? No punches, no dignity, no class. Nada, mis amigos.

Posted by Stone55555 on March 22, 2015 at 09:18 PM

Marchand turtles pretty quickly:))))

Posted by doobi1 on March 23, 2015 at 09:56 AM

Although Marchand executed an Olympic Gold Medal, collegiate wrestling flip on Stamkos, Stamkos came after him like he wanted to tear off the head and put it on a stick. Because of this attitude, and his willingness to have a go round with needle nose (OBTW who declined with a flip), the WIN goes to Stamkos. He unleashed the tiger in his tank, which inspired his team to go on and blow out the Boo Hoins in this game. Hey Boston, heeere comes Otawa!

Posted by Tmc1010 on March 23, 2015 at 09:21 AM

Marchand is such a little bitch

Posted by PantherPete on March 23, 2015 at 10:31 AM

Marchand is one of the biggest reasons fighting needs to ALWAYS stay in professional hockey AND why the instigator should go the way of the Dodo bird, immediately if not sooner. PERIOD!

Posted by toughtony on March 22, 2015 at 11:10 PM

Who's the bigger idiot here, Stamkos for the wrestling take down or Marchand for being Marchand?

Posted by Hughes42 on March 23, 2015 at 10:01 AM

Marchand can't even beat Stamkos in a fight. As a Bruins fan I see all of Marchand's actions and they never lead to anything good for the B's. Tampa scores two quickies after this hugfest. Stamkos gave his team momentum. Marchand gave his team nothing. It's crunch time with the Bruins hanging on desperately to a playoff spot and Marchand responds with zero goals in his last eight games. Zero.

Posted by TrueBlue16 on March 23, 2015 at 01:10 PM

I'm surprised Edwards didn't say something along the lines of marchad unloading on stamkos and beating him senseless and taking him down when quite the opposite happens...homer if there ever was one and am shocked at the commentating on this one

Posted by anthrojim on March 23, 2015 at 11:12 AM

Surprised Jack Edwards didn't claim Marchand won that fight.

Posted by dean94harrison on March 22, 2015 at 06:52 PM

Didn't even need to watch it, saw Marchands name and automatically gave the win to Stamkos.

Posted by hockeyrules999 on March 22, 2015 at 07:41 PM

Marchand killed all momentum for his team with his dirty hits and dominated by a superstar...Another fight loss for the Boston "Goons".

Posted by kaywonathon on March 22, 2015 at 08:07 PM

Ratso McWeasalface gets slammed to the ice, never a bad thing.

Posted by mblair47 on March 22, 2015 at 08:28 PM

Marchand the rat only drops them because he thinks he has a chance, then loses to Stamkos with 1 career fighting major.

Posted by Tony Esposito on March 23, 2015 at 01:21 AM

Marchand is a piece of excrement.. Wish this would have went longer so he could have been pounded.

Posted by Jrsnowden1025 on March 22, 2015 at 09:42 PM

Marchand hangs on for dear life. Win Stammer.

Posted by irishdefense on March 22, 2015 at 07:45 PM

Stamkos owns the biggest scumbag in the league and sparks the team for the win.

Posted by kinga101 on March 22, 2015 at 08:18 PM

Marchand gets off easy once again. It baffles me why the league or some player hasn't put the hammer down on one of the dirtiest players in the history of the NHL!! It's unbelievable what he gets away with game in and game out. I guess we'll just have to keep on waiting for someone to take care of him once and for all.
