For all the people calling Marchand's hit on Fillpula "cheap", learn the game. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that hit. And Fillpula responded with a hard hit on Marchand. That should have been the end of it. Stamkos had his panties in a bunch for no reason whatsoever. Also, Stamkos was 100% fresh coming off the bench and Marchand was at the end of a shift. So before you cheer Stamkos, it's a lot easier to be brave when you're challenging a guy who's dead tired. The real scumbag in this sequence was Stamkos. This was a nothing fight. No punches thrown or landed. And Great Murray, the puck was released maybe .2-.3 seconds before the hit. That's called "finishing your check." You learn it when you're about 12 years old. And the hit didn't target the legs, that hit is called a "hipcheck", you learn that when you're 12 too.
