Pretty good scrap from the little guys. Steeger is more annoying than people realize, but he's turned down many fights this year. He's pretty entertaining when he does drop them. Man my 'Hawks are weak this year, I love the winning coach Q gives us, but he puts Bollig on a leash. I wish Bowman would call Mashinter or even Winchester up.

Watching this after the Erskine / Orr fight made these 2 seem even smaller

ha ha peewee hockey fight bold billy still finds a way to cry about the bruins

Nice to see a spontaneous fight instead of the staged heavies, and not a bad bought for a Draw!

Posted by McCunn8585 on January 12, 2014 at 08:39 PM

Who the fuck voted for Versteeg? Solid Draw. Galagher looked better than the bigger Versteeg.

Posted by ironbar44 on January 12, 2014 at 08:36 AM

that was awful .

Versteeg wins this sloppy bout.

Posted by Orr Fourever on January 12, 2014 at 07:31 AM

No decision.I know some jockey's that are better fighters then these guy's. Reminds me of the RATT tune "Round and Round." Some how Ratt and Habs sounds good in the same sentence.

Posted by bigmike53 on January 12, 2014 at 12:31 AM

Another lousy visor fight. These two guys demonstrate how to not land a single punch in a fight! It has to be a draw because nothing happened.

Posted by Great Murray on January 13, 2014 at 10:19 AM

Neither landed anything in this non-fighters, frenzied set to. Fun to watch though! Draw

Posted by Silky Smith on January 12, 2014 at 05:17 PM

love all the keyboard tough guys in this thread 99.9999% of whom would be tuned up by either of these guys

Posted by Humper on January 12, 2014 at 07:00 AM

Entertainment from the peanut gallery. This bout looked very even to me, I'd call it a draw.

Posted by Biggus on January 13, 2014 at 06:38 PM

I liked this one. I had to double check the name when I saw Gallagher. The spirit makes up for the lack of skill and ends up being pretty entertaining.

Posted by Snoka on January 12, 2014 at 10:15 AM

Another hab loss, lol

Posted by sulley71 on January 11, 2014 at 08:51 PM

Versteeg with the edge as he connects on a couple. I guess he is Powered by FUSE.

Posted by fight-fan on January 12, 2014 at 04:16 PM

AHHH how cute, but clear win for Versteeg unless your a Habs Homer.

Posted by GoBHawks on January 12, 2014 at 09:27 AM

Not bad for two guys that don't have very long fight cards. Fun to watch.

Posted by GreatDane on January 12, 2014 at 06:37 PM

surprised that Versteeg had the gonads to try Gallagher . Win to Gallagher because Versteeg had a good reach advantage and still never landed a punch.

Posted by Power29 on January 12, 2014 at 07:58 PM

All Versteeg, Gallagher couldn't get started in a bad fight...

Posted by hughcares on January 12, 2014 at 03:20 PM

The little sh!t Gallagher gets owned by the slighlty larger little sh!t.

Posted by devilsadvocate on January 12, 2014 at 01:31 AM

Who cares about this fight. The bigger concern for the Hawks is if Versteeg has to fight at all. God, my Hawks are a soft bunch this year. Is their current slump just a mid-season malaise, or is it their "softness" catching up to them? I don't like what I'm seeing from them for the past half dozen games. No energy, no urgency, no grit, no hitting. There is no fight in this dog! Bowman (Stan or Scotty) better opens his eyes and see what's going on.

Posted by AxlRose91 on January 13, 2014 at 12:54 PM

Gallagher drops the gloves very quickly, trying to get a sneaky shot in on Versteeg before he's ready He then realizes that he's a complete pussy, and spends the rest of the fight cowering in fear Win Versteeg

Posted by GoHabsGo13 on January 13, 2014 at 11:40 AM

Versteeg just had a size advantage.

Posted by NoKnuckles on January 13, 2014 at 05:36 PM

Nothing big landed

Posted by staceyb on January 12, 2014 at 06:43 AM

Kris "Not a Flyer" Versteeg finds the biggest Les Canadiens player he can handle.

Posted by nait on January 11, 2014 at 10:34 PM

I expected more from Gallagher

Posted by EK65 on January 11, 2014 at 11:33 PM

I want to punch Gallagher in the face myself.. (which is a huge compliment to that edgy game he plays that I love) I give the fight to Versteeg though barely..

NHL's version of midget wrestling.

Posted by doobi1 on January 12, 2014 at 10:18 AM

Ouch!! That helmet is hard! Slight edge to Versteeing for attempting to land a roundhouse though. He appeared to be madder than Gallagher,

Posted by streak53 on January 12, 2014 at 11:38 PM

I don't even think either player landed any shots worth talking about. Draw

Posted by Reefer64 on January 12, 2014 at 06:49 PM

Not a great fight but Versteeg didn't land anything. Gallagher landed 2 or 3 light shots.

Posted by sedinfan on January 12, 2014 at 12:07 AM

Nice lightweight battle. Gallagher almost looked like he knew what he was doing.

Posted by Stone55555 on January 12, 2014 at 08:31 PM

Not a great fight! Lightweights:)

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 11, 2014 at 08:42 PM

Two of the league's premiere heavyweights hook up for an epic battle... ultimately resulting in a highly awkward unintentionally comedic "Dale Rolfian" display of some of the worst fighting techniques ever seen this side of the "Kantstopoulos" river

Posted by SF BULLS 7 on January 11, 2014 at 08:45 PM

Epic Tilt

Posted by Massive Coiler on January 11, 2014 at 08:12 PM

Whole lot of back punches as these two flail about trying to land something and avoid getting hit themselves. I'm going draw, but Versteeg could have had a slight advantage.

Posted by Jez-x on January 11, 2014 at 08:16 PM

Gallagher, who likes to act tough but never mans up, drops the gloves and shows why he doesn't drop gloves more often but usually just runs his mouth.

Posted by tanner_masseth on January 11, 2014 at 08:08 PM

Versteeg missed a lot of punches, but ultimately landed them when/where it counted.

Posted by DARCY T on January 12, 2014 at 04:15 AM

i expected versteeg to win it but i have to call it a draw

Posted by dkdanielkli on January 11, 2014 at 08:07 PM

Gallagher shouldn't fight at all but it really surprised me how relatively well he did in this fight. Don't forget he's only 5"6 150 pounds. Also, Versteeq is a fucking pussy for going after a player this small.

Posted by boldbilly on January 12, 2014 at 09:53 AM

So if we listen to jez-x he expects Gallagher at 5'6" to be a fighter.....enuff said jizz-x no it's not a typo is a Bruin fan ...this fight was a draw and Gallagher has nothing but guts considering.........look at the huge size difference.......maybe Gallagher should fight Thornton or Chara that would make sense to the Bruin supporters Nait also expects more from a 5 foot 6 behemoth like Gallagher........really it must be his huge 150 pound frame? Laughable. SASQUATCH SIGHTING. SASQUATCH DO EXIST...........WATCH VIDEO AT THE 40 second mark
