The bout goes to Kostka, strictly a case of the schoolyard bully beating up on the little kid in the third grade. Gallagher was trying to egg on his comatose teammates who were absolutely humiliated last night on home ice. Gallagher himself blew a play covering JVR that led to a goal.

I guess Gallagher needing to show he can't be pushed around (too much) gets pushed around quite a bit by Kostka. At least it wasn't Colton Orr.

I was about to rag on Kostka for picking on a pint sized Hab...
Though second look showed Gallagher asked for it.
He pushed Phaneuf on top of the goalie and gave Kostka that last extra shove to make him fair game.

Gallaher had better pick his spots better. He was way overmatched.

The little guy doesn't back down, the guy with the 50 pound advantage wins the fight, wow, good on you Kotska. You're a man, go for Chara now, only a 50 pound diff!

Looks like Montreal has found their version of Brad Marchand, minus the skill level. Clean win by Kostka and good on him for standing up for his team.

Gallagher was in everyone's face all game. I think Kostka's reaction was more of a night of frustration. This is about the 3rd altercation in the 3rd period so there was a log going besides just this.
Kostka delivers lesson. Be nice to your elders.

Gallagher is going to be great for the Habs, small gutsy and skilled with just enough Irish in him to make him nearly impossible to intimidate. Should stick to fighting somewhere within 2 or maybe 3 weight classes from his own but kudos on him for actually doing it on a night the Habs in general took off. As for being schooled?....yeah Dion took him into the boards pretty hard a couple times, but the kid showed heart, not only getting off his ass each time, but in not hesitating to go right back up against the big guy. Coaches league wide dream of players with the type of heart this kid brings, had he the size to fit the fight and desire in him he'd be the ultimate in what any and every team wants.
