Visors aside, that was a very entertaining sequence of events,
and although play by play reviews are not my thing...
I'm late to the party, so maybe just this one time...

Maydrov crosses the blue line,
all, head down, puck between the feet,
and Lindros-looking...
while Porter, seizes the opportunity,
and lowers the boom,
with a superior, cleanish, hit.

To his credit, Boyce doesn't hesitate in stepping up,
ans after seeing a team mate get completely tuned...
he knocks Porter down, ties him up,
and starts wailing away with unanswered rights.

Porter finally gets loose, and that's all she wrote,
as he power punches Boyce into submission.

Boyce early, Porter late...I don't think that was a bad hit....Borderline, maybe, but not much more than that.

The announcers need to get their eyes checked. There was no way Porter was targeting the head there. The skater was coming in with his head down and Porter was upright. Even with his head down, the hit was to the guy's chest and the momentum from the hit knocked the skater's head back. As far as the fight itself goes, this was a win by Porter. He landed a couple of good shots late and he gets the edge nod here.

Not sure what the announcer saw because it looked like a pretty clean hit to me. Close fight but I'm giving Porter the W for biding his time and then landing the more effective blows.

Hit was clean---announcer a moron---slight edge to Porter for the better shots at the end

its great that your players respond to a big hit, itd be even better if they knew how to score. blue jackets suck

A clean hit by Porter, then a clean retaliatory hit by Boyce on Porter when the puck rolls to his feet.

Boyce should have left it at that, but instead they engage in a pretty even scrap. I vote draw for a few minutes of great entertainment.
