Abdelkader came on to go after Boyce after the knee on knee hit on Rafalski. The fight was even but the Detroit fans loved it. The Wings lost Rafalski and their goalie Howard in the same game.

If you look beyond the fight, gotta love the noise level and the way the Wings crowd are so into it.
Just imagine how they would bring the house down if they had a legit enforcer...like the days of Probert and Kocur !

Great job by a kid on a non-fighting team to stand up for his old mate. Not much of a fight, but hats off to both. Hope Rafalski isn't out for long.

bawhite why should he stop fighting? He has a win against steve ott whose a decent middleweight and got a draw here against a guy with a lot of experience fighting.

When he gets more fights under his belt he'll only get better, the improvement from last year and even earl this season is pretty obvious

they were ok here, ok show but not good scrap by any means.
DRAW all the way, come on guys! there is no any ****ing winners lol LMFAO.
Abdelkader landed 2 early, Boyce landed 1 or 2 but at least his first uppercut falled to the body.
Boyces last shot was like a nothing one to me, not much power behind that shot before he went down.

Well, as a Wings fan, I've said it before and I'll say it again....Abdelkader should stop trying to fight. He did appear to do better in this one than others, but who the hell is Darryl Boyce? Abdelkader's heart is in the right place on this one though. 4 and a draw.
