Perrott throws a right that goes over Simpson's head and then throws another that lands square to Simpson's head and sends him down with Perrott landing on top. Perrott gets in another quick right as the linesmen come in.

Gratton checks Bradley into the boards and starts to skate away as Bradley gives Gratton a shot with his stick in retaliation. They drop the gloves and tie up, each trying to get their right hand free. Bradley throws a locked-out right as they both get free and start going toe-to-toe with rights. Bradley ducks down, switches hands, and throws a left. They wrestle around before Bradley throws a short right while Gratton tries to get his right hand free. They each throw a couple of locked-out rights before the linesmen come in and end the scrap.

They drop the gloves near the boards and tie up. They each attempt a couple of overhand rights as they struggle to get loose. Both get free and start exchanging right hands; Bradley throwing and landing more punches early with Gratton coming back with a flurry of his own late. Gratton then lands a right that knocks Bradley to the ice. Gratton throws a short right as the linesmen dive in to stop the fight.

They drop the gloves at the blueline and tie up. Laperriere rips Hollweg's helmet off and throws five straight unanswered rights. He grabs Hollweg's hair for a moment but quickly lets go before they grapple for a bit. Hollweg throws a left before Laperriere gets loose and misses with a big right. Hollweg misses with a left as Laperriere throws two rights to the back of Hollweg's head. Laperriere throws an overhand right before the two tie each other up and struggle to get loose. Laperriere attempts a right that is blocked by Hollweg before Laperriere gets loose and throws a few more rights. They then hold on until the linesmen come in.

They drop the gloves along the boards and square off. They try to grab on to each other until LaCouture grabs ahold of Wiemer and throws two rights as Wiemer comes back with one of his own. The two start exchanging a number of punches: LaCouture with lefts; Wiemer with rights. Wiemer switches hands and starts throwing lefts as LaCouture struggles to get his hand loose. LaCouture throws a couple of overhand lefts as Wiemer returns fire with a right and shakes off his elbow pad. They wrestle around and skate into the boards as Wiemer throws a couple of rabbit punches. LaCouture returns fire with an overhand left. Wiemer throws a couple of rights as LaCouture throws a right before he loses his balance and goes down to a knee, allowing the linesmen to come in and stop the fight.

Begin throws a couple of wild lefts before switching hands and throwing a right. Henry throws 4-5 rights as Begin returns fire with a couple of his own. Henry then wrestles Begin to the ice. Other Penalties: Begin received a boarding major and game misconduct.

Godard throws a check on John-Michael Liles, who gets sent to his butt and slides into the boards. Cody McCormick skates over to Godard and gives him a slash to get him to go, but May comes skating in fast and Godard drops his gloves to go with an already gloveless May. They grab on and Godard throws a quick 4-5 rights, all landing to the side of May's head. They grapple a bit and exchange punches that don't land. May throws a right that misses and Godard counters with two rights that land. Godard waits, throws a couple of more rights, shakes off the elbow pad sticks with the right for a couple of more shots. May goes to switch to the left and when he does he opens himself up for a big right hand from Godard. They grapple a bit more and May tries to sneak in a right. Godard counters with a couple of more big shots that snap May's head back. They then hold on for the linesmen to come in. Both skaters skate a way with a smile. Other Penalties: Cody McCormick received a slashing.

Pothier switches hands and throws a couple of rights as Wilm returns fire with a right. Pothier throws a right to the back of Wilm's head and the two struggle to get loose until the linesmen come in to break things up. Other Penalties: Wilm received a holding.

Spezza throws a quick right as Colaiacovo returns fire with two rights of his own as players start piling in. They go underneath the net for a moment until Spezza wrestles Colaiacovo to the ice and starts throwing mounted punches on him until the linesmen rush in. Other Penalties: Spezza received an instigator and misconduct; Colaiacovo a slashing.

Belak returns fire with a right of his own. Neil throws a couple of short rights before Belak comes back with a right. They exchange punches as Belak switches hands and throws a left. They wrestle around as Neil lands a 4-5 body punches on Belak before the linesmen come in.

They go up against the boards as Konopka throws a couple of rights. Kostopoulos returns fire with two overhand rights of his own. Konopka throws two rights to the back of Kostopoulos' helmet before Kostopoulos loses his balance and falls to the ice. Konopka throws two more rights as Kostopoulos is falling. Other Penalties: Sean Avery and Tyler Wright each received a misconduct.

Right off of the opening faceoff, Mayers drops his gloves and goes right after Barnaby. Barnaby bends over and doesn't drop his gloves until Mayers lets go of him. Barnaby then sheds his gloves and they square off, each removing their elbow pads. Mayers attempts two left-right combinations as Barnaby moves away. Mayers does a couple of fakes until Barnaby comes in as Mayers throws a big left. They tie up and strugggle to get loose as Mayers throws a few overhand rights to the back of Barnaby's head. They tie up again until Barnaby throws a left. Mayers comes back with a right and tries to rip Barnaby's helmet off before they lose their balance and fall to the ice. Other Penalties: Mayers received an instigator and misconduct.

Lecavalier tries to rip off Ballard's helmet as the linesmen move in.

Pratt switches hands and throws a left while Wright is struggling to get loose. They wrestle around before Pratt throws a left uppercut while Wright's head is down. Pratt then throws a locked-out right while Wright returns fire with an overhand right. Wright pushes Pratt up against the glass and then throws him to the ice. Other Penalties: Wright received an unsportsmanlike conduct.
