Chris Neil vs. Gordie Dwyer
10/09/03
2 Pd 5:30
@OTT MON Gordie Dwyer
Voted winner:  Chris Neil   (78.6%) - Voted rating: 4.3
They come together along the boards and drop 'em. Lots of hugging in this one, mainly by Dwyer. Neil's punches were a little more effective as Dwyer's helmet came off early. Gordie also slipped at one point and went into the boards pretty hard. A lot of short punches in a fight which lasted about 45 seconds. You could tell they were both dog tired at the end.

Chris Neil vs. Jason Doig
10/23/03
3 Pd 19:52
@OTT WAS Jason Doig
Rematch from last year. Neil got a small jab on Doig's nose (could have missed), and Doig gets in a few good rights to the side of Neil's face. Doig gets spun around and Neil hits him in the back of the head and they fall.

Chris Neil vs. Darcy Hordichuk
10/30/03
1 Pd 2:0
@OTT FLA Darcy Hordichuk
The two agree to go right after the faceoff. They drop em, Hordichuk lands two, Neil lands two and misses with a third as Hordichuk spins madly off-balance. Neil then lands one on Hordichuk before the linesman jumps in.

Garnet Exelby vs. Chris Neil
11/11/03
2 Pd 13:5
OTT @ATL Garnet Exelby
Neil landed at least four or five solid shots right on Exelby's face, a couple of good uppercuts as well, and got in a few other helmet shots. Exelby managed to get Neil's helmet off, but not much else. He may have had one shot land cleanly. Exelby went down and they fell to the ice, with Neil on top.

Chris Neil vs. Jody Shelley
11/13/03
3 Pd 12:43
@OTT CBJ Jody Shelley
Voted winner:  Chris Neil   (91.7%) - Voted rating: 7.7
During play, they agree to go, dropping the gloves and tying up. Shelley misses with an overhand right as Neil moves his head to the side. Neil lands a weak right. Shelley nails him with a solid right of his own, then misses. Neil hammers Shelley with two lefts, the second one knocking the helmet off of Shelley's head. Then they both swing at the same time, can't tell if they landed, but Shelley loses his balance, going to the ice then quickly getting back up. They both land a right at the same time. A few glancing blows are exchanged before Neil lands a rock solid right to Shelley's jaw. Shelley goes down to one knee as Neil swings again. He tries to muscle himself free of the grip Neil has on his jersey, but the linesmen come in and grab them. Shelley barks some parting words at Neil.

Chris Neil vs. Eric Boulton
11/17/03
1 Pd 6:14
@OTT BUF Eric Boulton
Boulton and Neil collide behind the Ottawa net and decide to go. They each exchange rights as Boulton shakes the elbow pad free and throws another right. Neil lands a right as Boulton misses one. Three rights by Boulton hit the side of the head and he takes a knee, but jumps back up. Boulton's helmet is dislodged as Neil throws a few rights. They each throw a right that comes up short. They wrestle and Neil tries to switch to the left, but nothing much there, as Boulton slips again. Neil throws a left and grazes another one on Boulton's face, as Boulton returns fire with a hard right hand. He misses two more and Neil nails him with a right uppercut. A right uppercut by Boulton doesn't connect. Neil tosses his helmet off for whatever reason and Boulton appears a bit confused. Neil throws two uppercuts, but they looked pretty weak, and a noogie to the back of the head. Neil lands a left as Boulton throws a right and Neil slips. Boulton starts chucking lefts as Neil is on the ice, and its over.

2 Pd 14:48
@OTT CAR Jesse Boulerice
  (0%) - Voted rating: 7.3
Long square off. Neil goes at Boulerice, and they both start chucking them. Both throwing huge shots, most of them grazing at first. Then they both start landing some of those huge shots. They both landed 2-3 BIG blows on each other. They both finally went down, and Neil threw another pretty big shot while on the ice. Boulerice seemed to be winning at the begining, and Neil took control at the end.
Date/Time For Against Opponent
Chris Dingman vs. Chris Neil
12/04/03
2 Pd 13:20
OTT @TBL Chris Dingman
They're in the corner talking and talking and talking... They drop the gloves and Dingman's jersey comes off almost immediately. It's like it pushed the eject button. Neil gets off one poor right, and the rest is Dingman with some helmet-rights, a body shot, and then a few wild punches. He might have landed one or two, but definitely nothing damaging. As he's throwing, Dingman falls. Other Penalties: Neil received a boarding; Dingman a game misconduct.

These guys get throwing early. Both throwing big punches, and landing some quality ones. Switching hands frequently, Neil starts getting the better of it as he gets Doull's jersey up over his head. As the fight is ending, Doull lands several rights and scores the takedown.

Chris Neil vs. Doug Doull
12/13/03
1 Pd 14:8
@OTT BOS Doug Doull
Voted winner:  Chris Neil   (64.7%) - Voted rating: 6.7
Doull runs a Senator into the end boards, and Neil takes exception to it. They squareoff with Neil throwing the first punches. As was the case in the first fight, these guys are willing and able to switch hands and land decent punches, although Neil capitalizes on his punches more. Neil lands some decent punches and gets Doull turned around against the boards as the fight ends.

Eric Boulton vs. Chris Neil
12/23/03

OTT @BUF Eric Boulton
After a squareoff, they grab on, and Neil has bad balance off the bat. Boulton throws 3-4 lefts, maybe landing a few, and Neil slips, but gets back up and throws a few of his own before Boulton also slips and goes down, drawing the linesmen in.

01/01/04
3 Pd 8:18
@OTT NYI Arron Asham
Voted winner:  Arron Asham   (44.8%) - Voted rating: 5.9
Most of the game these two have butted heads and finally decide to have a go. Off the draw Neil goes into Asham, who hesitates for a second and then decides to drop em. They lock out and begin firing right hands, Asham landing a decent one. They spin and Asham lands a nice right to Neil's chin. Asham is landing maybe one or two extra punches. Neil answers with a nice left. They spin a little more and its over.

They slash at one another and decide to go. Long squareoff, then Doull goes in throwing a couple of lefts landing to the side of Neil's helmet. They get a good hold of each other's arms with Neil's helmet coming off in the process. Doull tries an uppercut, but Neil has him tied up well then Neil throws a left that misses then a short right that may have landed. Doull then throws four overhand right haymakers, two landing. The last one looked to be a good one. Neil follows with a right that's blocked, then Doull answers back with another roundhouse which looked to land, but it's hard to tell from the angle. Neil throws another right which also seemed to miss and they get off-balance and go down. Doull got up and tried to keep throwing, but the linesmen were in. Neil tried to get the crowd going after.

01/20/04
2 Pd 2:39
OTT @CAR Bob Boughner
These two drop them behind the play and grapple for position at the start with Boughner throwing a few that don't seem to land. Neil throws some inside punches, not sure if any landed. Boughner seemed to be trying to fight in-close and no effective punches were really thrown. Neil ends up with the takedown and lets up on Boughner when he could have hit him when he was down.
Date/Time For Against Opponent
Chris Neil vs. Kelly Buchberger
01/22/04
1 Pd 18:33
@OTT PIT Kelly Buchberger
This came about right after a Sens' goal, and Kelly Buchberger once again tried to get the team fired up. The camera took a good 7 or 8 seconds to get on the fight, but when it did they were grabbing on. They each got the left free, threw 6 or 7 lefts, and each appeared to connect on a couple. Buchy went down for a moment, and then got back up and had his left cocked as if he were about to throw a big haymaker, but then he somehow fell down backwards before he threw and the fight was over.
Date/Time For Against Opponent
Aaron Downey vs. Chris Neil
01/28/04
2 Pd 17:10
OTT @DAL Aaron Downey
When the cameras first got there, Downey was on his knee. They then threw nothing and Downey fell to the knee again. Big-time balance problem as they were pretty mobile. Not much landed, mostly a struggle to stay on two skates as Neil was lining up Downey, who never got going. During the replay it looked like Neil might have caught Downey with a little jab to start the whole thing.
Date/Time For Against Opponent
Chris Neil vs. Nathan Perrott
02/05/04
2 Pd 8:6
@OTT TOR Nathan Perrott
Voted winner:  Nathan Perrott   (68.4%) - Voted rating: 8.2
Perrot started it by unloading five or six quick lefts that landed. Neil then stabilized, Perrott slipped to a knee and Neil landed some solid lefts of his own as Perrott got back up. They grapple for a bit and then Perrot slams Neil to the glass and throws a few shots. They get off the glass and grapple some more, each throwing a few more short shots while wrestling. The linesmen then stop it after a decently long bout.

After the faceoff these two start to go. Neil starts off with two hard rights. Both of Neil's rights catch helmet. Somik tries a right that ends up being more like a push, but it did force Neil's head back a little. They then throw simultaneous rights that both connect flush to the face. Neil's right however knocks Somik off-balance, while Somik's right doesn't really do anything to Neil. Somik is way off-balance and they throw simultaneous rights again. Somik's grazes Neil's forehead, and Neil's right makes solid contact to Somik's face and Somik went down.

Voted winner:  Krzysztof Oliwa   (40%) - Voted rating: 6.7
When the camera gets there these two have a hold of each other with the rights cocked back. Oliwa opens up with two hard rights. The first hits Neil's helmet and the second one might have grazed Neil's face. Neil tries answering back with his own right that hits Oliwa's shoulder. Oliwa goes with two more rights. The first catches nothing but air and the second one once again grazes Neil's face. Neil then lands a right flush to Oliwa's face. The right sends Oliwa to a knee. Oliwa gets right back up, and Neil throws a right that hits the back of Oliwa's head. Oliwa comes back with a right of his own that Neil ducks under. After Neil ducks Oliwa's right, Oliwa becomes off-balance and Neil lands a short right to Oliwa's face or shoulder. Neil then throws another right that glances off the side of Oliwa's head. They do a 180 and Oliwa throws a right that hits Neil's helmet. Neil answers with a weak right to Oliwa's shoulder. Oliwa then goes with a right to the body. Neil comes back with a weak right the back of Oliwa's neck. Neil then throws another right that glances off Oliwa's shoulder that looks like it makes weak contact to Oliwa's face. Oliwa comes back with a right to Neil's helmet. They start to grapple and come in-close. Neil tries a weak right that hits Oliwa's back. Oliwa then loses his balance. Neil tries a right uppercut while Oliwa is getting up, but it comes up short. Oliwa gets back to his feet and they resume grappling. Oliwa tries a very short right that hits Neil's helmet. They continue to grapple for around 5 to 10 seconds. The linesmen start to come in, but Oliwa doesn't want it to be over yet. Oliwa gets some separation from Neil and throws two rights to the side of Neil's head or helmet. Neil then throws a right to Oliwa's body. Oliwa throws another right to the side of Neil's head or helmet. Neil comes back with a left that hits Oliwa's shoulder. They then mutually decide to stop throwing and the linesmen come in. Good long fight.

Wiemer switches hands, a right is blocked. Neil gets his right hand free, Wiemer lands another right. Neil lands a good right and sends Wiemer's helmet flying. Wiemer's right comes up just short. Ty Jones vs. Chris Neil

1 Pd 2:27
OTT @FLA Ty Jones
  (0%) - Voted rating: 5.5
Early in the game Neil checks a Panther into the boards. Jones comes over and taps Neil with his stick and Neil taps him right back. They drop the gloves and Neil is trying to connect with the right and Jones with the left. They awkwardly trade throws with nothing hard connecting.
