I just can't figure it out how anyone could have given this fight to Voros! IT WAS A DRAW

Posted by Peej on December 17, 2008 at 10:23 AM

Almost seemed like a Saturday Night Live skit.

Posted by Gunslinger on December 17, 2008 at 10:55 AM

This"fight"(I use the term loosely) was embarrising. Montador was looked like he was trying to tickle Voros and Voros was giving noogies. I really like Voros but he's been struggling lately.

Posted by Maxwerm on December 17, 2008 at 01:14 PM

". . . you dance divinely." Everyone loses in this non-fight. They should both be suspended for wasting our time.

I was at the game with my kids. About 10 seconds into the fight, my 8-year-old son grabs me, hugs me close, and starts throwing those rabbit punches and I do the same. We were cracking up at this. I've never seen anything like it. The hotties in front of us hugged each other and threw a few fakies too. It seemed like the whole arena was cracking up at this. Get a freakin' room! But thanks for the entertainment.

Ive never seen so many body shots landed in an NHL fight before. Draw.

Posted by mikebflorida on December 17, 2008 at 10:11 AM

Body blow, body blow, body blow! lol What a crappy fight. Draw. Spirited but crappy.

Posted by sabersfan4life on December 18, 2008 at 01:43 PM

ok fight 2 willing fighters and it was a good fight but they was in too close to fire some big time bombs

Posted by tpr1960 on December 17, 2008 at 08:16 PM

That was cute , my 2 retarded neighbors have better slap fights in front of thier house . Edge to ..........NOBODY .

Fianlly Voros wins one fight......i still cant stand him

Posted by strko75 on December 17, 2008 at 07:03 AM

Did Montador get even 1 headshot, moreover did he hit Voros above the belly button? Both looked like willing combatants from the get go, but that hugging and whispering sweet nothings took over.

Posted by smasham on December 18, 2008 at 05:59 PM

Voros wins only when he takes on smaller guys.............fairy.

Posted by dukeofearle on December 17, 2008 at 01:54 PM

Weak Fight. slight edge to Voros because he got in the better shots. Give credit to Monty for doing something when the guys holding you in so close. Monty is having a great year and he always sticks up for his teammates.

Posted by oilersfansylvan on December 17, 2008 at 02:30 PM

Nothing like a Duck getting beat......Hugging for dear life.......Easy W for Aaron

Posted by NYRangers30 on December 17, 2008 at 03:16 PM

Montador was trying to hug Voros to death

Posted by blackgoldfan on December 17, 2008 at 10:29 PM

i've been in pillow fights that hurt more...dare i say montador could learn a thing or to from stortini?

Posted by redwings ko on December 17, 2008 at 03:06 PM

edge goes to voros for fight, and montador for moxy.

Posted by hockeyfan87 on December 17, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Eh, okay crap. Nothing special. Less hugging more hitting. Edge to Voros.

Posted by kocurisgod on December 17, 2008 at 04:53 AM

Voros winner.

Posted by b.t.wilson on December 17, 2008 at 07:59 AM

Win Voros in a weeeeird fight.

Posted by MNBonecrusher on December 17, 2008 at 04:42 PM

You know, the moron announcers had nothing but good things to say about Montador the whole time Voros was beating on him. The body shots were pretty much useless, but he was afraid to do anything but hold on for dear life and ACT like he was fighting back. I was NOT a Voros fan when he was in Minnesota, but this punk Montador made him look good here.

Posted by speedk0re on December 17, 2008 at 01:14 PM

i was at this game front row behind the Rangers bench. This was definitely a strange fight to watch... a lot of hugging but Voros definitely edged him out and landed a few good shots. After he got otu of the penalty box I got a good luck at his fist (you can see him shake it as he skates off)... it was split open pretty good on his knuckle. I really wanted to see an Orr/Parros rematch personally tho!

Posted by bruins rule on December 17, 2008 at 07:34 AM

i never saw so many body punches in a voros.

Posted by slshbleed on December 17, 2008 at 08:40 AM

I'd rather see them throw the body shots than hug. If you can break the floater rib, the guy will drop his hands and then you can get the head shot in. I'm sure its hard to throw a body punch that hard in tight on skates.

Posted by prorobo on December 17, 2008 at 01:57 AM

Voros gets the win for actually landing hits to the head while Montador went at Voros' ribs. If it were a real boxing match where bruised ribs would make a difference in later rounds, then maybe Montador's strategy would've been a bit more useful. Overall, a decent scrap.

Posted by tim daddy on December 17, 2008 at 10:20 AM

voros,slight edge

Posted by mcb789 on December 17, 2008 at 10:16 PM

montador with the win. hey, sam rosen did not snap on the fight. maybe after 25 years on putting down fights rosen maybe is starting to like the fights. wrong.

Posted by kaety71 on December 17, 2008 at 10:12 PM

Not sure why they dropped gloves, but it really didn't do much for the game.

Posted by terrystheman on December 17, 2008 at 02:24 PM

waste of time

Posted by probiehawk24 on December 17, 2008 at 03:11 PM

Voros is coming back to his routs now that his points have tappered off and Monty is now with a team that will gladly let him show off his fighting ability. Nice middle weight bout but a boring draw

Posted by heyohmama on December 19, 2008 at 12:04 AM

montador lands about 50 body shots.. draw

Posted by abax44 on December 17, 2008 at 12:44 PM

Body shots > helmet/back of head shots

Posted by Taproot on December 17, 2008 at 08:36 AM

I would be willing to pay for the hotel room for these two fruits if they wanted it. What a complete rainbow hugfest.

Posted by gmr133 on December 17, 2008 at 11:34 AM

Did I hear Three Stooges music during that "fight"? Body shots? Montador is punching kevlar rib pads, Voros is punching Montador's name on the back of his sweater. The homer announcers have no clue what a decent fight is. This was a sad display.

Posted by wannago_letsgo on December 17, 2008 at 01:32 PM

Win Voros, Montador seemed to regret wanting to tight him and kept in as tight as he could, good thing Voros can throw some pretty mean bombs.

Posted by TBLightningGuru on January 19, 2009 at 03:22 PM

they've been watching too many Fedoruk and Stortini videos. yawn . win to voros for landing shots to the head

Posted by Rangers4thecup on December 17, 2008 at 03:53 AM

Voros win for landing punches. I think Montador was trying to tickle him with those lame body shots to the equipment.
