Draw orr didnt conect with much except for when peters was down.

Posted by probie83 on March 11, 2008 at 04:22 PM

Orr is still an ugly cocsucker not an impressive win

Posted by pitslam on March 11, 2008 at 10:55 AM

Solid Draw.

Posted by waynegibbous on March 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM

Pretty close til the end

Posted by maverick27 on March 11, 2008 at 04:41 PM

draw. peters didnt go down because of orr's punches, he went down because he lost his balance. most of orrs punches missed.

Posted by Hell of a TILT on March 12, 2008 at 01:19 PM

Ok scrap.....Both of them were scared to make the first move......I think Orr had a slight advantage, but overall it was a draw.

Posted by razor 32 on March 13, 2008 at 12:03 AM

I am a Sabres fan, and Peters fan but I don't like the way he has been fighting this year. But anyone one voting that Orr won this fight is crazy. I guess that they did not see Orr wiping blood from his face as he skated to the penalty box??? The cheap shot by Orr at the end of the game should have gotten him suspened right along with Peters.

Posted by FlyersDosage on March 11, 2008 at 06:14 AM

both guys landed a few but nothing substantial to determine a true victor IMO...you can't look at who hit the ice first to say who won/lost - DRAW!

Posted by cardiffgiant on March 11, 2008 at 08:37 AM

Why does Peters even bother? He cowers back waiting for the haymaker, but 9 out of 10 times he either gets punched to the ice or falls down on his own.

Posted by R_Wick33 on March 11, 2008 at 03:43 PM

whoever said peters is a punching bag obviously needs to watch stortini somemore to find out the meaning of that word. like his style or not, he is still a heavyweight and can handle himself most the time. Did it look like peters was hurt at all, dont think so

Posted by tpr1960 on March 11, 2008 at 07:16 PM

Chuck and duck Peters vs Brashears personal punching bag Orr [email protected] losers , only Barnaby is worse than these 2 .........or imissbarnabysass36's mom .

Posted by WPWW14words on March 21, 2008 at 08:18 PM

Peters landed better shots.

Posted by Enfrcr77 on March 11, 2008 at 04:30 PM

I agree w/ Philly Fighters... good scrap, could have gone either way... last time peters handed orr his lunch... but you can't win them all.. edge to orr but really good fight... need a round 3 to determine it between these two.

Posted by plum29 on March 12, 2008 at 10:55 PM

with the exception of Peters falling down, i really think he won the scrap. he landed the bigger bombs. good to see PEters get into a solid scrap because with him, the scarps are either good or terrible.

Posted by stpapa on March 15, 2008 at 09:50 AM

ORR SUCKS! GO PETERS!!!

Posted by Peters 76 on March 13, 2008 at 12:37 AM

Is this site located in the piss infested basement of MSG? Orr is such a cocky fuck...bald ass head and bloody mouth.

Posted by PFATISITHGT1 on April 07, 2008 at 06:43 PM

peters......beest fighter in Nhl by far

Posted by Petersfan7614 on March 12, 2008 at 02:01 PM

Last season, Peters had a very decisive win against Orr. This time round, Orr wanted it more, thus, the win.

Posted by merle johnson on March 11, 2008 at 08:02 AM

Peters the puke, chuck & duck. How fuc*#n lame is this guy.just once I'd like to see this clown actually get in and mix it up with someone.

Posted by dave_brown on March 11, 2008 at 08:35 AM

Peters fighting style (if you can call it that) is terrible. I am really starting to think he is terrified of getting punched. If I was a top fighter I wouldnt waste my time fighting him. Orr with the win.

Posted by lovejoy on March 11, 2008 at 04:34 AM

what is worse style of fighting? dumb ass Brashear hugging and bombing to the back of the helmet or chicken Peters turning his head off no to be hit and sending blind punches?? dunno..

Posted by jpd1321 on March 11, 2008 at 10:26 AM

As a Sabres fan Andrew Peters is an embarrasment to fans, hockey and worst of all himself. If he wasn't the union rep for the team he would have been cut months ago. Aweful!

Posted by unteagledad on March 11, 2008 at 02:07 PM

Orr is such a showboat....he thinks he's tougher than he actually is.

Posted by ibled4theusa on March 11, 2008 at 11:01 AM

Orr threw alot more Peters bobbed him a good one, but overall not a very good fight as far as hits, although the intensity was there and the obvious effect of getting hit caused Orr to cheapshot Peters after he went down.

Posted by Ragtop1day on March 11, 2008 at 05:02 PM

didn't look like either one could get at the other till the end....these guys should have removed their helmets - I'll bet their hands are chewed up pretty good

Posted by Bahjay on March 11, 2008 at 01:54 AM

Orr takes a punch and then proceeds to tee off on Peters, who can only tee off when taunting the Leafs.

Posted by egdirdle6667 on March 11, 2008 at 11:27 AM

Easy win,

Posted by TheGouch23 on March 11, 2008 at 05:09 AM

Clear win for Orr. Controlled the fight and had Peters on his last legs at the end before the linesmen stepped in.

Posted by hockey doc on March 11, 2008 at 07:38 AM

win Orr, good to see him attack that stiff arm lock out by puss peters.

Posted by Acar7711 on March 11, 2008 at 11:30 AM

I agree with JCOBRA67. Peters style has to change or he should just stop fighting.

Posted by The Peach on March 12, 2008 at 06:28 PM

just a matter of time. orr finally cranks a few and knocks peters to the ice. someone else wrote it first, it's true -- peters fights not to lose. winning is secondary. not sure how that helps his career AS A FIGHTER

Posted by mindoz on March 11, 2008 at 06:10 PM

Orr easily the winner. Nobody likes Peters but he is getting a good NHL paycheck for sitting on the bench (mostly) & fighting when asked. His style sucks for purists but no one has ever hurt him either. No defense fighters are fun to watch but don't last long in the NHL.

Posted by irishboybrian on March 11, 2008 at 09:46 AM

Edge to Orr. Governor Eliot Spitzer connects more than these two did

Posted by Gunslinger on March 13, 2008 at 11:33 AM

Peters has really disappointed me this year as a fighter. This fight shows why, he really has'nt dominated this year except against Cote, which is not that hard.

Posted by Lucy Brown on March 11, 2008 at 03:29 AM

Orr is a beast. Good thing for Peters that Orr didnt really connect with any of those bombs. Orr needs to work on his accuracy and he will own the heavy weight title.

Posted by mikebflorida on March 11, 2008 at 09:44 AM

Interesting fight. Peters horrible, high percentage, safe fighting style doesn't allow any bombs to land to the face but he took a few to the back of the head and was basically pounded to the ice and overwhelmed by Orr. I call it very close but a win for Orr as Peters did land a couple of good shots and appeared to bloody Orr's nose. Not a big deal, it simply made the fight a little closer but Orr's ferocity pounds Peters down. Andrew Peters needs to man up and throw down with guys his own size and certainly guys that are smaller. He uses that same god awful chuck and duck fight style with everyone he faces and it's really growing old. I don't even need to watch his fights to know what he was doing. It's typically a draw or loss for Peters this year and while he may last a little longer in the league, if I were the GM, I'd want an enforcer who actually enforces and wins most of his fights.

Posted by chl37 on March 11, 2008 at 08:17 AM

orr winner in a fairly close fight. peters style doesnt make for the best fights usually.

Posted by sheady on March 11, 2008 at 05:07 AM

Peters has one of the worst fighting styles in the world. I'm glad he got his arse handed to him.

Posted by BrianTheAdsFan on March 11, 2008 at 10:30 AM

Going with Orr as he lands a few more than Peters.

Posted by Poop Jack Pappy on March 11, 2008 at 06:29 PM

I hate the way PeterHead dances. Orr pummelled The Peter to the ice. Winner Orr

Posted by jackmcc100 on March 11, 2008 at 02:07 AM

Peters has been a punching bag all year. Orr without a doubt in this one.

Posted by Flyersfan4life2 on March 11, 2008 at 03:29 PM

Philly Fighter, Im from philly so ive been in plenty of fights. Not saying you should leave your face exposed, but hes boring to watch. Whats the point of watching someone fight if hes just going to be punching shoulder pads the whole time. Tuck your chin in and let 'em fly.

Posted by jim_young on March 11, 2008 at 12:46 PM

Probably didn't do any damage but a definate win by Orr.

Posted by avesorr44 on March 12, 2008 at 04:38 PM

Orr is the only fighter out there that is not afraid to take a punch, when other guys start fights by reaching for a jersey grab Orr just comes in swingin...He tossed this guy around, but couldnt land much cuz the guy was duckin and prayin, i agree that the officiating was horrible, goalie inter. call on sjostrom was awful which resulted in a goal, along with a couple other head scratchers, and how peters didnt cost his team by havin a retard moment from the bench is redic.....rangers were def not supposed to win this game

Posted by Fletcher29 on March 11, 2008 at 06:10 AM

Why even drop the gloves if your going do the merry-go-round and turn your head? I guess steroids/ HGH didn't help Peters here...Orr by decision.

Posted by moneybags on March 11, 2008 at 01:55 AM

orr in this one

Posted by cotefan92 on March 11, 2008 at 10:01 AM

Posted by BigErnFan... on March 12, 2008 at 01:27 PM

I honestly like Andrew Peters. He's had some good battles with McGratton and other heavies and I've always thought he's done well for himself. I think he gets a bum rap on here sometimes.

Posted by SabresFanatic on March 11, 2008 at 08:55 PM

Peters landed a few but Orr put the beat down to him at the end

Posted by Big_Goon on March 11, 2008 at 08:39 AM

Edge Orr.

Posted by buchockey221 on March 11, 2008 at 02:06 PM

Ok Orr for the win. Many punches throwin. many for orr. and i hate peters. peters did that duck and throw shit like he always does. also not to mention the cheap shit he did at the end of the game

Posted by DAMAGE22 on October 16, 2008 at 01:11 AM

orr gets the edge,ok scrap

Posted by brad houghton on March 11, 2008 at 10:57 AM

Peters is going to need to find the passion or Ruff will need to get someone in who has it....i like Andrew and he seems like a character...BUT.....he continues to fight not to lose instead of fighting to win....Orr continues to improve and impress....he looked really confident in this fight! Peters needs to do what Belak did last year and turn it around!!

Posted by JCobra67 on March 11, 2008 at 02:12 AM

Peters actually did better than usual, but he's still the most overrated heavyweight in the league. He did his usual turn the head the whole time and try to throw the big bombs that never connect. Someone needs to tell him it's hard to connect your punches when you're trying to hide your face and you're punching blind. Edge- Orr

Posted by chatski on March 12, 2008 at 05:30 PM

in defense of peters,I wouldn't take a pounding from ORR or anyone on the behalf of the gutless skill guys that only show up once in awhile.

Posted by billy jack on March 11, 2008 at 02:23 PM

they are finding ways through peters long reach that holds them off while he has his back turned to them,a few fights ago i cant remeber who but they tried the hack an arm on him and now colt has found a way in,it is going to force peters to change or get dropped more often.

Posted by BEUK23 on March 11, 2008 at 11:25 AM

Peters threw punches off the bench later in the game to get back at Orr. Shows he lost. He wanted revenge all game.

Posted by capsfloors on March 11, 2008 at 09:44 AM

Orr with the edge here in what was probably the worst officiated game of the season.....lots of phantom calls all night long...how Buf didn't win this game 5-2, I'll never know...they were given tons of power plays for no reason...Can someone tell me how Peters only gets a 10min misconduct for punching Orr from the bench at the end of the game? No bench minor? How does Orr get a matching 10min misconduct? The refs should be ashamed of this game...

Posted by JDForCommish on March 11, 2008 at 07:01 PM

Orr with the win. Orr usually struggles against guys like this because he has short arms and can't reach when guys hide back. He is a pure brawler and is willing to take a big punch to get his in. Very few guys are willing to do that other than maybe Cote and Hordy. this will result in some losses but like that one person said when he fights out of aggression and not just because the other tough guy is on the ice he very rarely loses. Peters with a pathetic cheap shot from the bench in one of the worst officiated games i've seen in a while. Buffalo fans you need to realize Avery owns you this year lol!

Posted by mAnYsTyLeS on March 11, 2008 at 10:56 AM

I honestly think when Orr gets mad that he is capable of hurting someone really bad. Most of the fights he's in you can see that he's very reserved... but once the beast is let out - FORGET ABOUT IT! Peters is a big dude but he needs to change his fighting style and he shouldn't be throwing punches at Orr when he's on the bench. Orr with the hammering at the end for the win! Once BGL and Brash (mutants) are out of the league - Orr will be the dominant fighter. Rangers own all!

Posted by Blackhawk23 on March 11, 2008 at 03:57 PM

Good fight, Orr wins this one. He is having a good year. I agree with Pilly fighters that Peters isnt that bad of a fighter and his style makes sense, but he is having a bad year. Maybe thats why he doesnt fight all that much anymore.

Posted by JETTA KNIGHT on March 11, 2008 at 12:32 PM

Peters sucks. nuff said.

Posted by srehm1 on March 11, 2008 at 05:29 PM

Orr and Peters more or less hold on with their right hands cocked and ready. Each one throws a right or two here and there until Orr fires a number at the end. Peters can't stay on his feet and goes down. Orr with a clear victory.

Posted by BROWN - KOCUR on March 12, 2008 at 12:47 PM

As much as I hate the Rangers, I have to give it to Orr who is climbing the ranks quickly. Peters style tends to make his fights a bore-fest. Orr won but nothing great here.

Posted by PICKLEHAMMER on March 11, 2008 at 10:05 AM

Peters is a coward. After getting manhandled on the ice, he had to attack Orr from the bench late in the 3rd. Total B*tch move.

Posted by TripleDeke on March 13, 2008 at 06:47 PM

Starts out pretty even, with Peter's and Orr performing a dose-e-doe, each waiting for their opening to land a shot. Then all hell breaks loose for Peter's when Orr manages to shake off the right elbow pad. Orr throws an uppercut to get Peter's off balance, then persists on pummeling his helmet/ear with some vicious over hand rights. Peter's got caught tiptoeing through the tulips by one of Orr's haymakers and falls to the ice, only to get back up to get slammed down yet another time by the Orr-ster. Orr with an easy Double U.

Posted by Master Danne on March 16, 2008 at 07:23 AM

Peters did ok in this one but as you say he should change his style and be more offense and try to go for the win...not saying he shouldnt protect his face but he is a little too defensive in some bouts...Orr however is climbing the ladder and starts to act like a true heavyweight. Orr win.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 09, 2013 at 12:19 AM

Not a bad fight. Peters looked good at the beginning, but faded fast as usual and Orr plowed him.

Posted by KDOGG on March 11, 2008 at 08:40 AM

Hey Mace14 why is Orr a worrier ? lol whats the matter with him is he nervous?lol

Posted by ETR on March 11, 2008 at 09:00 PM

Orr landed more, Peters style is to not get hit as opposed to punching. His fights are not as good as they used to be. Win for Orr.

Posted by Hocyice11 on March 11, 2008 at 12:44 PM

peters is a terrible fighter, as soon as someone throws punches at him he turns himself around so he won't get punched. if you drop the mitts expect to get punched. it didn't matter this time though because orr just overpowered him for the win.

Posted by dbakes on March 11, 2008 at 01:15 PM

Orr. Not close.

Posted by averybear on April 06, 2008 at 12:53 PM

Orr is the real deal.....Peters seems to lose a lot

Posted by Juha82 on June 30, 2008 at 05:33 AM

It's a very good show from both man. Peters wasn't a warrior this year as he fights always on pussy way. But in this very good fight he shows his potential. Orr ate about 3-4 solid/big rights by Peters but Orr ended up the fight very strongly. Peters lost his grip of Orr who pounds him to the ice. Peters landed better/harder. This isn't an easy to call in my mind. But Orr got the EDGE.

Posted by redwingrocket on March 11, 2008 at 04:07 PM

Orr. The clear winner.

Posted by SirYohans on March 11, 2008 at 12:43 PM

Are some of u serious! OF COURSE ORR'S PUNCHES MOSTLY HIT HELMET... DID U FORGET WHO HE'S FIGHTING? It's Peters, He had his back to Orr completely at one point. It's still a win for Orr because he did his best to break through & save us a ton of boredom. Good Job Colt. HW's should boycott Peters. Just ignore the dude for the 55 seconds that he's out there. Sabres need to go in a different direction. I actually miss their team from the late 90's.

Posted by mace14 on March 11, 2008 at 08:21 AM

I hate the rangers but you have to give it up for colton orr the guy is a worrier. Orr all the way...

Posted by Bigford83 on March 11, 2008 at 03:34 AM

Peters' with his usual "hang on for dear life and swing wildly" tactic. He should be barred from ever fighting. What's the point if he's afraid to fight anyway? The crowning achievement of his career came when he fought Donald Brashear and actually gave him a really hard time. Other than that, he doesn't have much to show in the way of "enforcement."

Posted by powerball on March 11, 2008 at 11:21 AM

colton orr can't come close to his dad as a PLAYER, but he is an excellent fighter. Do you think his dad is proud of him?

Posted by akira760 on March 11, 2008 at 03:33 PM

Good scrap...

Posted by fightswitch on March 11, 2008 at 11:19 AM

Orr came on strong at the end. Peters peter'ed out.

Posted by Nightmare on March 11, 2008 at 09:42 AM

First half typical of both fighters: Orr aggressively swinging for the fences, Peters using the longer reach defensively. Colton finds his range at the end and hammers out the win.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on March 11, 2008 at 12:27 PM

I love watching Peters fight. Prolly my favorite tough guy in the league. but gotta give the tilt in this one to Orr. Nice fight.

Posted by justinfrowein on March 11, 2008 at 08:08 AM

orr is a beast

Posted by Humper on March 11, 2008 at 08:39 AM

Peters blows dead skunks.

Posted by 5 for fighting on March 11, 2008 at 01:23 PM

orr with the win. i like peters fighting style though. He puts all his power into every punch.

Posted by Flyers0292 on March 11, 2008 at 03:22 AM

really hate both these teams, and both players......nice go though.......orr takes it at the end

Posted by starver on March 11, 2008 at 03:14 PM

Andrew Peters is the biggest p**** in the NHL. I wish to God somebody would permanently retire him. He stands as far away as humanly possible from the other fighter and throws 1 punch every 5 minutes. The guy doesn't want to fight, he's a total ****. He has always been half a sally, but its totally out of control now. On the rare occasion he doesn't stand 12 feet away he holds on for dear life. Having no discernible hockey talent combined with losing your desire to fight is not a recipe for success. Get rid of the coward.

Posted by Muscles on March 19, 2008 at 06:21 PM

Orr took it to Peters in that one.

Posted by 5minmajor22 on March 11, 2008 at 07:00 PM

Orr gets the better of Peters as he knocks him on his keyster... Peters gets him later while he's on the bench, throws a few sucker-punches at Orr during a scrum. Gutless move on Peters part, he couldn't beat Orr on the ice so he tries to get him while he's not looking

Posted by Dynastopher on March 11, 2008 at 12:20 PM

Nice "Wait it out"- counter fighting on Orr's behalf... Kudos... You give me hope that that boring style that Peter's has can be countered without the fight dragging on till kingdom come.

Posted by skierleeub on March 12, 2008 at 07:22 PM

Another beat down delivered by Orr, maybe Peters can attack him with his head down from outside the playing surface next time, oh wait he already did that. What a punk.

Posted by nucks3 on March 11, 2008 at 05:48 PM

orr is a fuckin big boy and tunes guys in all day

Posted by dcmac on March 11, 2008 at 07:53 PM

Not a bad fight. Colton Orr can hang with anyone. I won't be surprised if he ends up breaking his hand on someones helmet.

Posted by davidgreen on March 11, 2008 at 12:17 PM

peters tried the duck & chuck..... problem is he fought a heavy weight who handles that ( and pretty much everybody else ) with ease

Posted by DetroitIan on March 11, 2008 at 10:55 AM

That was a great scrap! Orr got the win. But both guys landed some good shots. That's the way to do it!

Posted by Philly_fighters on March 11, 2008 at 11:33 AM

I thought this was a pretty good scrap, concidering the usual crap fights that happen. I give Orr the win, but I don't know why everybody is so hard on Peters. I'm not a Peters fan but I don't think he's a bad fighter. He actually handles himself pretty well. People who don't like Peters fighting style have probably never been in a fight. You can't just let your face exposed otherwise you end up like Todd Fedoruk.

Posted by pitthull on March 12, 2008 at 11:14 PM

Orr with the win -- generally decent action

Posted by kennyj76 on March 11, 2008 at 03:01 PM

pretty good bout. colton got upper hand at the end n petey couldnt get bak to his feet, win to orr. But i Loved it at the end of the game wen peters punched orr from the bench n almost started a brawl lol it was funny. but unsportsmen like. but o well i love peters win to orr tho.

Posted by bluesrule08 on March 11, 2008 at 02:59 PM

peters is a loser..not only can he not fight..but hes a waste of a player i mean he averages about 3 min. a game and has o maybe like 5 points this whole year?!?! peters why dont you give your skates and equipment to joe juneau so he can give them to someone up in canada who could put better use to them

Posted by philaphan on March 13, 2008 at 01:15 AM

orr looked good.not my guy but one to watch

Posted by TheBomb413 on March 12, 2008 at 05:16 PM

Colton Orr with a solid win. Peters actually hung in there for a while, if Peters keeps his balance he could turn into a really good fighter.

Posted by Ronnie82 on December 12, 2013 at 10:40 AM

Orr's flurry at the end seals the TKO win. Good tilt.

Posted by BattleAxe13 on March 12, 2008 at 05:14 PM

Real close fight up until the end. I hate the Rangers but I really like Orr. he's gonna be one of the best for many years.

Posted by snowcloud on March 12, 2008 at 01:12 PM

Orr is a beast. I love having him on the Rangers.

Posted by sharpeye on March 12, 2008 at 01:31 AM

Lots of shots to the back of the heads. Peters really dinged him with a right flush to face. Seemed like the only real punch landed. Way to throw your helmet with a bloody nose Orr. All class.

Posted by T-Wild76 on March 11, 2008 at 11:58 AM

If you look close Orr ended up with a bloody nose.Peters has no marks on his face,I think Orr hit mostly Helmet.

Posted by crazybubs on March 11, 2008 at 04:56 PM

Orr finished strong in an even fight

Posted by Jwcolour on March 12, 2008 at 06:25 PM

Both landed a decent amount though none really hard or well... As a Sabres fan I still have to give it to Orr because Peters in the past 2 years has completely forgotton how to fight...always turns his back and rarely ever wins even though he usually has a fair weight advantage. He's essentially a big fighter that doesn't know how to fight anymore. He used to not pull that hiding away crap and then try to throw a blind bomb.

Posted by rocky7482 on March 12, 2008 at 11:20 AM

Good fight. Orr all the way. Why can't these guys take their lids off before the fight starts, instead of after it's over?

Posted by preds321 on March 11, 2008 at 10:40 AM

the thing I like about Orr is that he will go with absolutely anybody in the league. He won't back down from anyone, and he rarely loses. He, Hordichuck, and Roy are all similar in that way.

Posted by germxv on March 12, 2008 at 08:13 AM

is it me or does it seem like too many fights are way too premeditated? where's the fire? where's the pure anger for a rival? it just seems like guys drop gloves just to drop gloves. i don't want to see a fight unless there is a pureness to it. stop all the make believe fights. and bring me some chris nilan fights or some bob probert fights. and what happened to the good ol fashioned line brawl?? when was the last time we saw one of those in the nhl?

Posted by pynkfloid3 on March 11, 2008 at 12:20 PM

peters...quit talkin shit after you get beat up, its not becoming. you look like ur gonna cry.

Posted by kocurfan26 on March 12, 2008 at 09:06 PM

Orr continues to impress. Love the way he throws every punch with evil intentions . ( not like that little bitch LGL who is better suited for the WWE the as a hockey fighter). Go RANGERS!!!!

Posted by biglite351 on March 13, 2008 at 09:27 AM

Orr won but showed a pathetic streak when he kept punching when the linesmen had stepped in and Peters was down. Pathetic.

these guys are very good at what they do. they both throw bombs and defend themselves well. i give to Orr only because Peters went down. noththing solid landed but bombs were thrown.

Orreasily with the win. I hate how people think peters is unbeatable. he turns his back during the fight like a pussy.
