EDGE Orr but the fight wasnt that one sided as the voting sysetm says

Posted by mikebflorida on February 08, 2008 at 03:36 PM

No winner here boys and girls. Both landed a couple and George fell down. Now, you Rag fans and Orr slurpers can go find a slo mo and decide that one punch does win a fight because you couldn't possibly be wrong. What a joke. Homers, homers, homers........

Posted by ibled4theusa on February 08, 2008 at 11:57 AM

Not George's best effort.

Posted by fridge rules on February 09, 2008 at 12:22 AM

i agree with the announcers, i think it was a draw. imo

Posted by Ryan_GS on February 08, 2008 at 03:13 PM

Im not sure on this one... Orr was more aggressive but didn't seem to land too many of his punches, im saying draw but Parros needs to step it up hes not been looking good as of late

Posted by Roadhouse on February 09, 2008 at 09:40 AM

Sir YoHans' No disrepect intended but there's a difference between homerism and truth my friend...Players do not get a lge.wide dirty/cheapshot rep for being check finishers...Those people are called check finishers...Avery is a kneer, after the whistle hitting turtler....If you do these potentially career ending moves at least be accountable for your actions...Taking on a midd.wght. like a Darcy Tucker may endear you to those who support your cowardly brand of hockey( NYR fans) but when called to task by a heavy dont run behind ORR or Holliweg take your lumps [email protected]#$y...

Posted by Sam1410 on February 14, 2008 at 07:39 PM

Orr win, but pretty close. Parros has no balance and when someone gets a good hold on his jersey he struggles. He needs to watch tape of BGL to see how a big man gets his feet under himself and then trades punches. Orr is a good fighter and Parros is overmatched when they aren't in close.

Posted by Ronnie82 on April 08, 2013 at 02:04 PM

Orr wins via aggression and control. Not a great fight.

Posted by KiddYidd on February 08, 2008 at 08:51 PM

Orr pwned Parros! Wooooo! Go Ranger Homers!!!!

Posted by Sweeney2112 on February 09, 2008 at 09:52 AM

Parros loses another one.....nothing new

Posted by lakingsfan19 on February 09, 2008 at 02:21 AM

all orr, parros doesn't like to fight real heavys...

Posted by nicdawg29 on February 09, 2008 at 11:16 AM

im not impressed with parros. all he does is fight. he sits on the bench until his coach wants to see a fight and then sends him in there. he should be man handeling everyone he squares up against because hes always got 100% energy versus other guys that actually plays.

Posted by Gunslinger on February 09, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Orr landed the only good punches(just a couple) and gets the duke. I remember when the Bruins let him go for not being a good enough fighter. What do they know?

Posted by berlzbro on February 08, 2008 at 02:29 PM

Slight advantage to Orr. Big George hasn't been the same against the heavyweights ever since his knee injury.

Posted by chl37 on February 08, 2008 at 02:08 PM

win orr. orr much improved over last year, making his way up the ladder. he's not an elite heavyweight yet but he certainly is in the next group below. and he will only get better.

Posted by BattleAxe13 on February 08, 2008 at 01:45 PM

Orr worked Parros over pretty well. I expected a little better finish though.

Posted by sheady on February 08, 2008 at 01:05 PM

got to give it to Orr. Good to see both guys willing to try and trade.

Posted by dcmac on February 09, 2008 at 03:06 PM

Parros was waiting and got tagged with a few. No doubt this goes to Orr.

Posted by Sukoshi84 on February 08, 2008 at 04:24 PM

ORR with the win...........he landed about 5 good shots to the staches 1, abd remember Orr had the look in his eyes....... so watch out

Posted by R_Wick33 on February 08, 2008 at 05:22 PM

mikebstupid im pretty sure you write stuff on here just to piss people off....get a life and stop being such a whiny bitch

Posted by nycbob on February 08, 2008 at 10:37 AM

Orr is on his game lately. nothing big landed, but orr got the better shots.

Posted by rtisby2 on February 09, 2008 at 07:45 PM

Orr got a lot of punches in, but i don't think many of them connected

Posted by dansal55 on February 08, 2008 at 12:15 PM

Orr missed many of the punches he threw. I gave him the edge for being busier and controlling the fight physically, but I don't think this was any big deal. Nothing serious landed. I was really looking forward to this one, a little disappointed.

Posted by avolante0371 on February 08, 2008 at 03:35 PM

if orr didnt have little t-rex arms hed be the best fighter in the league

Posted by ETR on February 08, 2008 at 09:51 PM

Was Parros throwing a knee at Orr? Win Orr.

Posted by cabsf15e on February 09, 2008 at 06:24 AM

Got to give the edge to Orr in this fight because he really went after the "Stache"!! Parros was on the defensive from the drop of the gloves; even though neither of them landed any crushing blows, I give this one to Orr. No one hates the Blue-Shirt boys more than I do, but you have to respect the way Orr goes after each and every tough guy in the NHL, win or lose, he fears no one and takes on all challengers!!

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on February 08, 2008 at 01:53 PM

I'm kind of surprised to see Orr beat Parros. Personally, I think Parros is the better fighter of the two nine times out of ten... Guess this was that one time, eh?

Posted by BrianTheAdsFan on February 08, 2008 at 02:01 PM

Orr with more shots wins this one.

Posted by JDForCommish on February 08, 2008 at 11:05 PM

For you Orr haters the reason why ranger Homers like this guy is because he is not a hugger, he is a pure brawler. He will lose his share of fights because he will stand toe to toe against ANYBODY. He can take a punch with the best of them and can absolutely hurt you when he connects. He controlled this fight but neither guy landed anything big. I think George was shocked how strong Colton went after him.

Posted by Juha82 on February 08, 2008 at 04:17 PM

Orr was enough better getting edge/narrow win because first he landed more and knocked Parros off-balance in the end of the fight. Parros did comeback, landing very solid punch to the side of Orr's face.

Posted by SirYohans on February 09, 2008 at 04:40 AM

Orr Wins... But it wasn't a good one between 2 of the best. Most punches hit helmet or missed. So u gotta judge on who was the aggressor, who landed more, & who was more in control. And That's Orr. P.S. - What's with people saying Hellweg & Avery are Cheapshot Artists. Hollweg always finishes checks, so naturally u are gonna have guys who turn sometimes & the hits become boarding penalties. (Have u ever seen Hollweg seriously injure someone. Didn't think so.) And Avery a Cheapshot Artist? I have only seen him hit clean & fight fair. (Since he's been a Ranger at least.) And i watch every game. A isn't he the one who always suggests that both players lose their buckets before a fight. Of course he does. Unless u guys consider trash talking playing dirty... In fact Hollweg & Avery are player that are most recipiant of cheap shots.I GUESS YALL JUST JEALOUS CAUSE RANGER FIGHTS ARE NEVER HUGFESTS LIKE YOUR TEAMS.

Posted by Franchise on February 09, 2008 at 03:47 PM

Parros should be a better fighter than he is. Orr wins, and its not close.

Posted by BooSanta on February 09, 2008 at 05:45 PM

Why does Parros get so clumsy against the heavys? Good for Colt to get the lefts goin' When Parros tried switching up.

Posted by Nightmare on February 08, 2008 at 01:37 PM

Not very eventfull, a bit disappointing considering i've been looking forward to this one. Gotta give it to Orr for seemingly being more aggressive and I liked the short lefts. Parros never seems to have the greatest balance, pure brawler...gotta love it!

Posted by TheAsianator on November 25, 2008 at 06:48 PM

Win Orr

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 09, 2013 at 12:12 AM

Orr pounded Parros to the ice.

Posted by egdirdle6667 on February 09, 2008 at 07:26 PM

Clear victory for Orr!

Posted by ItalianHunk21 on February 10, 2008 at 02:24 AM

Orr won that one... Close though

Posted by jd99gtNYR on February 09, 2008 at 04:08 AM

MikeB..........hahah..........you're wrong again pal........ Win Orr..........

Posted by Longywales on February 08, 2008 at 12:26 PM

Another win for Orr then! defo one of the top 5 tough guys

Posted by mAnYsTyLeS on February 08, 2008 at 02:58 PM

Colton overpowered Parros at times but this fight wasn't anything special. When Orr gets mad I think he can beat anyone (except the 2 mutants of course.)

Posted by Montel8000 on February 09, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Orr wins with 3 more punches than Parros.

Posted by avesorr44 on February 08, 2008 at 11:09 AM

Orr dominates with a smile on his face

Posted by Goon24 on February 09, 2008 at 11:00 PM

Orr with the win

Posted by MackMittens on February 08, 2008 at 06:45 PM

Parros recovered pretty well but Orr was still all over him and had Parros on the defensive most of the fight so I give him a slight edge.

Posted by snowcloud on February 08, 2008 at 03:27 PM

Good job, KOlton!!

good honest fight. tip my hat to Colton Orr for capitalizing on the one matchup these two teams have this season. He gets the clear cut victory on that one.

Posted by tpr1960 on February 09, 2008 at 05:13 PM

Orr Mr. punching bag . Rangers still have too many Euros . OOr as I told Imissbarnaby36's mom last night , you still stink . And so do the Isle's .

Posted by sharpeye on February 09, 2008 at 05:00 AM

Neither had the advantage. Orr with one or two OK ones early and Parros and one OK one late. Should've been better.

Posted by imissbarnaby36 on February 09, 2008 at 01:14 AM

orrr gets the win parroos as his bitch

Posted by Basher13 on February 08, 2008 at 08:28 PM

my question is, when does parros not lose his balance and fall down. Seems like every time I watch him he has no balance

Posted by april81972 on February 08, 2008 at 12:43 PM

George has gotten nailed a few times lately with the left jab. Orr got in a couple real nice ones. Didn't George go to the lockeroom after this one?

Posted by crazybubs on February 08, 2008 at 07:39 PM

Orr controlled it, although nothing solid landed.

Posted by goon10 on February 09, 2008 at 10:57 AM

Win Orr. Barely. I think Georgie had to go to the locker room to comb out his stache. By the way, the comment about Orr's t-rex arms is the funniest freaking thing I've ever read on this site. Good work!

Posted by foiledup on March 01, 2008 at 12:12 PM

Orr with the win. Hes out to prove himself that he is one of the Top Heavyweights in the league and he just did by beating George Parros. Way to go!!!!

Posted by PICKLEHAMMER on April 04, 2008 at 11:05 AM

Orr tuned him up.
