If more of the young guys could do what Strudwick did in this fight, it would improve fighting around the NHL. He worked his way into a position to throw and land without getting off balance and toppling to the ice. Strudwick is much better when he can throw left. The people at are calling this a draw have no clue. Voros has show that he is a pretty good fighter, but he got beat by a guy due in large part to Strudwicks experience.

you gotta remember..strudwick is 35 POUNDS HEAVIER than voros !! Maybe voros sholda kept his gloves on, also strudwick does have alot more exerience as well.

Weak fight !! No good punched landed whatso ever !! No clear winner in this kid toussle !! DRAW

I really wondering what fight a lot of you are watching?!? Those were some of the laziest punches I've ever seen by Strudwick. More slaps than anything. He didn't throw a damn thing. I extended his arm slowly. Watch it again. End of shift fight. No real shots. Draw. And Detroitlan, your an idiot. He pounded Voros. You make me laugh. I should thank you for that at least.

Nice dance....lots of swings and misses

My two Grandmothers had a better fight last Easter than this fight

Posted by NYR Fan on December 23, 2007 at 10:58 AM

The fight was slow and seemed like there was no energy. Draw.

Posted by R_Wick33 on December 22, 2007 at 06:28 PM

voros looked tired (prolly from just getting over the flu) pretty weak nothing much landed slight win strudwick however

Posted by Jabroni305 on December 21, 2007 at 03:17 PM

No big punches landed on either side, draw...

Posted by Boogeyman2383 on December 03, 2008 at 08:49 PM

Definitely strudwick landed more punches, but all of them were to the helmet. Same with Voros. Got to give it a draw, since no real punches landed the body. Who really cared about the fight. Gaborik scored 5 GOALS against the Rangers, total domination!

Posted by Bigford83 on December 22, 2007 at 04:17 AM

Even match between these two. I'd like to see Orr go up against Boogie...that would be something to watch!

Weak fight, but edge Struds for being in control and landing a couple of glancing blows. Voros didn't land or throw anything really. Struds should have switched hands and jersey jabbed him, pulled his head down quickly after the stun from the jab, then switched hands one more time and lit him up from underneath. Voros was lucky he didnt' get tagged, the way he was fighting he was leaving himself open bigtime, especially to a fighter with reach like Strudwick. But since Struds controlled the pace of the fight, and landed more glancing blows (after all, any number is > 0, what Voros got), he gets the EDGE in this somewhat disappointing fight

To call this a draw is a joke. Strudwick much busier and controlled throughout. If you call this anything but a win for Strudwick than you need to watch again...

Posted by Crocosaur on December 27, 2007 at 11:48 PM

There was no blows that really stood out...but if we're going on who controlled the fight, it's clear that Strudwick had the upper hand. Still, Voros is a good up-and-coming power forward that can hang in there...

Posted by bugeatsdirtx on January 26, 2008 at 10:24 PM

strudwick just had a gooood grip on voros because voros couldnt get untangled, i think he managed to land only a punch or two

Posted by ckm3028 on December 21, 2007 at 06:23 PM

Voros was very disappointing in this one. Looked like he had never fought before and didn't know what to do. Strudwick with the win.

Posted by mAnYsTyLeS on December 21, 2007 at 11:58 AM

Strudwick gets the win because he controlled the whole fight and everything went at the pace he wanted. He also connected with some girly shots. 1 girly shot is better than no girly shots. Rangers rule suckas.

Easy win for Strudwick with Voros burying his head and pretty much wanting nothing to do with Strudwicks left hand

Posted by dala56 on December 21, 2007 at 06:54 AM

Win Strudwick for controling the fight, also throwing and getting more shots in.

Posted by johnboy56789 on December 21, 2007 at 11:18 PM

Voros showed the energy of a guy who just finished a power skating drill. Strudwick did all the landing. Voros threw a handful of half assed punches. Clear winner here. Although at least half of the idiots out there will give Voros the win.

easy w for js

Posted by ETR on December 22, 2007 at 07:47 PM

Strudwick controlled the fight throughout. W for him.

Posted by SirYohans on December 21, 2007 at 11:56 PM

Easy win for Struds. I love it when he drops the gloves. Very intelligent fighter. This one was not too good because both guys were end of shift tired. RANGERS RULE U SPAZBOTS!

Posted by nhloriginal6 on December 23, 2007 at 04:40 PM

I'm tired just watchin this one. Edge to Strudwick.

Posted by rocky 1 on March 03, 2009 at 03:37 PM

Strudwick completely dominated this fight.Varos held on for dear life. Any person who voted otherwise has no sight or no clue period!

Voros didint do a dam thing but hold on

Posted by Juha82 on December 21, 2007 at 06:42 AM

not a bad fight. Strudwick controlled well. A very nice job by him. Voros was a little better in the end. A clear win to Strudwick.

Posted by gilesy23 on December 23, 2007 at 09:06 AM

long reach by both guys hard to get some good bombs in

Posted by Jake98 on December 21, 2007 at 03:49 AM

Voros was lame

Posted by goody72 on July 31, 2009 at 01:20 PM

Don't know how much landed by Strudwick but, he threw more punches. Slight edge to Strudwick.

Posted by dansal55 on December 21, 2007 at 06:43 AM

If I had to guess, they must have been at the end of a shift. Those were some tired punches. Strudwick controlled the fight, but can you really give a win with those sorry punches?

Posted by peeks on December 21, 2007 at 10:13 AM

No way there is a winner..unless ur grading school kids on pretend fighting !! Draw

not really anything special, both men had lost their endurance early. sportsmanship on both ends. complementing each other on the scrap. pretty much even.

Posted by kornfreak_1 on February 11, 2008 at 12:04 AM

Voros is a hell of a player and with this being so close I have to give it to Voros considering he is a rook and he even scores besides being tough as heck.

Posted by Top Shelf on December 21, 2007 at 08:36 AM

Boring fight

Posted by boogeyman88 on December 21, 2007 at 02:25 PM

nice hit voros

This was a win for strud. all u people saying that it was a draw r just pissed voros lost

Posted by ColdmaN5 on December 22, 2007 at 12:30 PM

Wow...was it just me, or did Voros look absolutely retarded in this one. Was he at the end of a shift, or something?

Posted by blackngold on December 21, 2007 at 07:37 PM

Was this clip in slow-motion?

Posted by Rynryn on December 22, 2007 at 02:03 AM

Voros was fighting with a broken beak, but that's no reason to call it a draw. Strudwick controlled. Again with the weird crap. Voros really really wanted to grab hold of that shoulder pad. thought he was going for nipple there! Would have been a dif. story had Voros not been nursing that nose.

Posted by DetroitIan on December 21, 2007 at 03:30 AM

Strudwick pounded Voros. Clear win for Jason.
