Why are Bruin fans talking about McQuaid? He wasn't in this fight or in this game for that matter. Are we going to talk about Thornton, Orr or Lucic next? Remember when Orr broke Lucic's nose? That was a thing of beauty. Anyway, the Leafs beat the Bruins 2 in a row and Martin won this fight. It was a good weekend for the Leafs, not so much for the declining Bruins. The McQuaid/Martin fight from last year was a good and close one, but Martin lost. As far as what would happen in a rematch no one really knows. It'll probably be close. A visor is an advantage. Anyone who disagrees is a complete idiot. When you wear a visor you are covering half your face. Imagine what a good fighter a player could be if he was wearing a full face shield. Martin and the other non wearing visor fighters should wear one when they are playing a team that has so called tough guys wearing one. That's the only way to make it fair. If they won't or can't take it off, put one on. Is Beleskey the new Bruin tough guy? Why did they let Lucic go again?

BTW fight fails to show 1st punch Martin Nails him right in the eye popping helmet..Bruins laying the body on the smallish Leafs, Martin lays a big open ice hit taking the Bruins helmet in the arm, causing obvious discomfort Chara asks Martin to go and sees he is hurt then skates away, Martin goes off leaving the bench also. Comes back takes another shift Laying the Body again, Belresky takes offence asks Martin to go, Martin looks around at the ref who calls nothing, then Martin drops Belresky with one punch square in the yap knocking his helmet off also as he goes down, Fight over win Martin. As for the McQuade comment, Look at the Tape Ref called the fight Martin looked at the ref relaxed and Mcquade threw the late shot....BTW we are talking about Bubble head McQuade who took 3-4 shots on the visor that fight(The Visor saved him)

Burlesky thinks he can take advantage of Martin who was involved in a nasty collision a few minutes prior. He can't - and will have to try to beat up a senior citizen on his way home. He won't. As a side note - since we're talking about players not involved in this fight - I can't decide whether Pizzaneck is a turnstile or a swordless bullfighter. Either way he is softer than a newborn's bottom.

Appreciate the backstory(s) ,from JoeDog and BruinsAllDaySon but based on the video evidence presented I gotta go draw

Posted by Humper on November 11, 2017 at 10:03 PM

Beleskey goads Martin into dropping them, then probably wonders why he did it as he takes a hard shot to the noggin.

Bruins suck dick as usual. Pukeleskey coulda died tonight but the sniper from grassy knolled rafters took him down first. Char a at his fuckwad usual self goes over to pick a fight with Matty after dirty elbow by douchbag dickrok. Chara should just commit suicide this week and end it once and for all. He never fought anyone worthwhile his size cos he a pussy. A huge gaping pussy like jackoff Edwards. Laroque would have killed him several times over.

Bad cases of Bambi legs ends this quick. Draw.

Liked the way Belesky tried to Superman punch Martin but couldn’t get any elevation. They really shouldn’t waste our time, this is more of a “skirmish” without gloves, not much of a fight. BTW, whenever I hear Jack Edwards, I know not to believe anything I hear (except if he’s doing an NBCSN game, when he totally tones down his Bruins-rule-the-world crap, and is nowhere near as annoying).

This is a draw, the only reason I voted for Beleskey was to counter the ridiculous votes for Martin, for what, noogies? If anything, what took Martin so long to drop the gloves? Did he have to wait to make sure it wasn't Chara? Was he not seeing clearly? Great Murray, look at the voting, who is the homer fan base? You only said Martin to counteract a fan base, when yours was more pathetic, smh. Commenting on here, 1 says a solid shot by Martin, smh, and the other, just as ridiculous, is saying Beleskey tried to surprise Martin, wtf, he challenged him from in front of net, took til almost the blue line for Martin to accept. There are some blind homers here.

Martin, one punch

Posted by bbout2c on November 13, 2017 at 08:59 AM

delay of game , waist of time , abuse of vital ice time etc........

It took meticulous iPhone zooming to make sure I “thumbsed up” @BehnWilson. Non starter and some commenters may need to check in with their emotions.

Posted by puckstopper30 on November 11, 2017 at 10:21 PM

Not really a fight, so I give it a draw. Otherwise, Martin would beat him.

Posted by Destroyer on November 12, 2017 at 06:31 PM

Beleskey saved himself a whole lot of hurt by pulling Martin down. As for stupdog and his brainless comment. The refs had nothing to do with Martins beating and being bloodied by Mcquiad. Yo stupdog you might actually want to get your facts correct before spouting off your undeniable ignorance of the facts.

this was suppose to even martins hit early I still havnt seen the big right hand draw

Posted by rocky 1 on November 13, 2017 at 07:21 PM

Fight? Hardly! So anyone voting anything other than a draw here is a complete Homer!

Posted by DARCY T on November 26, 2017 at 04:54 AM

disappointing fight.actually they went down before the fight started...draw and 1

Posted by EK65 on November 13, 2017 at 03:41 PM

You guys know the backstory. Martin connects the only punch therefore giving him a default win. Beleskey is a laughing stock but, has been more physical this season to try and salvage any value as a hockey player. He's waiver material though at this point.

Posted by Ullger88 on November 12, 2017 at 07:27 AM

Obvious martin win, not much or a fight but got one really good shot in. Martin fell, no way beleskey did anything to make that happen. Rematch with mcquaid should happen , without a visor would be a way different outcome. Takes 4 shots to the visor and feels nothing.

Posted by AxlRose91 on November 11, 2017 at 11:28 PM

Beleskey plays tough, quickly realizes he’s badly outmatched, and bails Martin with the laughable win

Posted by Kersus on November 11, 2017 at 09:37 PM

Not much to see here. Belesky tried to surprise Martin but not much fight because of it.

Posted by iralustmanHF on November 12, 2017 at 09:11 AM

not worth the 42 seconds to view this.. move on.

Posted by demonhead6 on November 12, 2017 at 12:15 PM

Over too quick, did't see enough due to poor camera work, draw.

Posted by Jaxon on November 13, 2017 at 12:30 PM

LOL, ah I see the Bruins haters all made it to the party. You call this a Martin win, just because he should have killed Beleskey, and didn't. Draw, and a 2.8.. And they're still losing sleep over last year's bloody FOTY! Hilarious! Talk about sour grapes!! Mwahahaha!

Posted by dogginit on November 12, 2017 at 08:36 AM

lol must be alot of bruin fans on here,,, The bruins are SWAFT, That was no fight. HOw did Beleskey expect to stand up and throw punches when he skates in there at 30 mph. Of course we all know the anwser another grab and fall down fight for Boston.. Thats not fighting, you have to throw and connect with a few punchs. Should have been delay of game penalty

Posted by Mounty in NC on November 12, 2017 at 07:32 AM

Beleskey tried to get to Martin before he could get his gloves off.... didn't work. Martin landed the only punch and gets the win and a 2

Posted by Jez-x on November 11, 2017 at 09:27 PM

This should have been 2 min for roughing, draw and nothing more but Martin did turn down Chara beforehand, don't blame him.

Posted by Great Murray on November 11, 2017 at 10:55 PM

Ridiculous...stand up on your skates and throw punches. Martin because.....who knows...may be just to offset the moronic Boston homer voting.

Posted by BruinManiac on November 12, 2017 at 08:48 AM

Leafs fans stop with the visor theory. McQauid beat Martin like a rented mule. He’s lucky it didn’t end his career. Trust me, if it happens again, Martin will lose again.

Posted by Orr Fourever on November 12, 2017 at 05:59 AM

Crap draw. @HOCKEYGOD Why all the hate Bro? Make Beliefs have been sucking DICK for YEARS!!!

Posted by Dammit-Man on November 12, 2017 at 02:59 AM

Justin Bieber can't even beat Beleskey... Pitiful just Pitiful... draw on an Unfight.

Posted by moneybags on November 12, 2017 at 02:00 AM

Belesky was the aggressor and threw Martin down like a rag-doll

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on November 11, 2017 at 09:43 PM

Martin went for an open ice hit on Bjrok a few minutes earlier who tried to duck the hit and ended up taking Martin's elbow to the helmet. Bjork gets up fine and Martin actually got the worst of it and headed down the tunnel. When Martin gets back on the ice, Beleskey desperately tries to justify his $4M cap hit and 0 points by taking on a much bigger Martin and takes a solid shot to the left temple/eye area before taking Martin to the ice. W Martin and 3. He did what he had to do - he was probably glad to see Beleskey w/McQuaid out on IR who TKO'd him in last year's FOTY. @joedog no. Refs don't "call fights" from afar as 2 guys are still throwing. You need to watch the video again. Martin threw a punch at the same time McQuaid did - Martin was TKO'd fair and square. So no. He wasn't 'relaxed' as you say. McQuaid is one of the toughest in the league just get over it.

Takedown..Beleskey win..
