why does everyone try to body slam big George.

Posted by Cid on March 30, 2014 at 07:41 AM

Why was the Montreal bench all upset over the takedown? Parros put him in a friggen head lock for christ sake. Who the hell does that in a hockey fight? Barch landed one good shot. Parros wanted nothing to do with it after. The big slam was a counter to the headlock. Win Barch. Parros needs to hang them up after this season. Another concussion and the lifelong damage it could cause is not worth his 5 minutes a game.

Montreal bench upset with the Barch take down

Posted by Reeferman1967 on March 29, 2014 at 09:47 PM

Date night in the glades.

I think it's over and out for the stach. Barch is like 4inches smaller . Too many concussions. Maybe he could take that baldheaded Mcguire's place along with eddie no check and Doc the always annoying Emrik.

nothing landed .......draw

Posted by King of Goons on March 29, 2014 at 09:57 PM

Huh?

Posted by bigmike53 on March 29, 2014 at 10:01 PM

What a lousy fight! Two tough guys produce nothing more than a wrestling match. At least Barch attempted a couple of punches. I don't think anything landed and then Barch with the takedown. Draw.

Posted by Walt on March 30, 2014 at 12:25 PM

I always looked at Barch as a bit of a jabroni but the guy is on fire this year.

Posted by DARCY T on March 30, 2014 at 05:05 PM

another big name on barch's fight card this season...crap draw

Posted by rocky 1 on March 30, 2014 at 05:10 PM

What the hell is wrong with Parros this year.Time to hang them up George?

Posted by boldbilly on March 30, 2014 at 08:22 AM

An uneventfull draw.....not much to talk about here ....except like everyone else I think George should hang them up after this year unless a whole summer of rehab lets his brain heal.........I don't understand why after the Orr fight that people try these dirty takedowns on George.......it started with McQuaid in Boston and now seems to be the fighting technic used against him..........DRAW. ....can't give a victory for that slight glancing blow off the top of George's helmet......unless you are from Boston

Posted by moneybags on March 29, 2014 at 10:19 PM

Barch seemed more interested at least

Posted by SURESHOT27 on March 31, 2014 at 10:06 AM

time to hang'um up George

Posted by Stone55555 on March 30, 2014 at 07:19 PM

George is done!!!! Hang em up George .... Please hang em up before you really get hurt! Habs should release him. He definitely should not be in the lineup anymore!

Posted by canamrugby on March 30, 2014 at 08:12 AM

La Grande Stache needs to contemplate retirement.

Posted by tpr1960 on March 30, 2014 at 08:05 AM

Oh my gosh watch Parros' coconut !!!!!!! Concussion man has an affinity for hitting the ice this year. ........ Barch W

Posted by BooSanta on March 31, 2014 at 09:55 PM

Big Clumsy George has been having a real tough time with his arch nemesis, the ice, this year. Win Barch on the slam.

Posted by slavv on March 31, 2014 at 01:45 PM

Has Parros ever finished a fight on his feet???

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on April 05, 2014 at 02:04 PM

barch

Posted by EK65 on March 30, 2014 at 09:45 PM

Had potential... but nothing going on....

Posted by Shadel440 on March 30, 2014 at 10:31 AM

No fight here! Big George is nearing the end of his career but still gets respect. He has been one of the best enforcers for many years. He has beaten the best. Gillies, Godard, Brashear, Boogaard. In recent years Reaves, Thornton, Mcgratten, Orr, Mclaren, Engelland. He has also been beaten more times than he has won. He has over 200 fights in his professional career. Even now he gets respect from other players. Anyway sad to see the end coming for George. I give the win to Barch just because he threw a punch.

Posted by elevesque001 on March 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Parros is done... I'm a Habs fan and have to realise that it was a mistake to hire him... He won't be playing anymore and the Habs won't have Prust for the playoff

Posted by mikebflorida on March 30, 2014 at 09:50 AM

Barch gets the only shots in, could've been much better.

Posted by The_Rickster on March 30, 2014 at 12:09 PM

Parros needs to throw in the towel. Age and injuries have caught up to him and he's reluctant to drop the mitts any more.

Posted by kennyg1966 on March 29, 2014 at 10:50 PM

Hang em up Parros

Posted by tyrone on March 30, 2014 at 08:50 AM

Barch is getting better each year. I use to think he was a "Gregory Campbell punching bag", but he is a willing and legit combatant. As for my buddy Parros, who was one of the toughest in his day, it's time to hang them up. Don't squash your melon anymore dude.

Posted by staceyb on March 30, 2014 at 01:59 PM

Neither fighter got in a punch? Barch's left rattled Le Grand Stache's gums.

Posted by Snoka on March 29, 2014 at 10:44 PM

Another loss for a scab

Posted by Spinner55 on March 30, 2014 at 09:23 AM

Horrible

Posted by Massive Coiler on March 29, 2014 at 09:56 PM

What was going on there. I guess I'll give Barch the win for those "punches". Really confusing strategy those guys were using.

Posted by QUIGGS22 on March 30, 2014 at 11:14 AM

Horrible fight & congrats to Parros for making it through a fight w/ out hitting his head on the ice . Draw!

Posted by mygameworn on March 30, 2014 at 12:58 AM

Thank you Sedinfan! I want to know the same thing. Tim Jackman did that as well. I'm afraid this is the last of big George.

Posted by shawnrocks on March 29, 2014 at 11:48 PM

smart barch got in close fired a few then went for immediate take down

Posted by Orr Fourever on March 30, 2014 at 08:33 AM

Win for Barch. If Don Cherry does'nt want women in the locker rooms, Where will the Canadians get dressed?????????

Posted by jerry s on March 30, 2014 at 06:24 AM

Barch was smart keep close to parros and didn't let him get started would like to see parros vs mcgrattan

Posted by Lausman on March 30, 2014 at 10:34 AM

Montreal homer feed...."neither fighter got much in"......cut the replay just before Barch lands a solid left.....Montreal announcers are a joke. Barch clear victory and the exclamation point was the pickup and body slam....Hulk Hogan would be proud of.

Posted by doobi1 on April 06, 2014 at 01:55 PM

Hey, the kid handled Parros, and then pulled the rag doll shake on him too. Win to Barch.

Posted by Bob Probert 24 on April 01, 2014 at 07:06 AM

Maybe they should join a dance troupe next.

Posted by Humper on March 29, 2014 at 09:49 PM

Uh, and these guys are fighters??

Posted by legend22 on March 30, 2014 at 09:02 AM

How can anybody pick a winner here. Nothing landed despite Barch bum rushing Parros. Draw

Posted by SouthPaw017 on March 29, 2014 at 09:55 PM

Complete and utter disappointment with a couple of quality scrappers.

Posted by Lowes14 on March 30, 2014 at 11:30 AM

Barch was just worried about getting hit

Posted by buzzgun2000 on March 30, 2014 at 02:28 AM

Does anyone else hold their breath now every time that they see a Parros fight listed in the boxscore hoping that he didn't take another clumsy fall to the ice......like he did here?

Posted by filthynumber1 on March 30, 2014 at 01:32 AM

Came here to say what sedinfan said

Posted by adam16 on March 29, 2014 at 10:18 PM

Why didn't they square up? Stupid and boring draw

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on April 16, 2014 at 11:21 PM

Ron Jeremy should go back to porn

Posted by kkdowning on March 30, 2014 at 07:43 PM

Magnum did not attempt a punch, Barch attempted a few and may have landed one. Give this mess to Barch because of the headlock by Magnum. Headlock, really?

Posted by fight-fan on March 30, 2014 at 02:25 PM

So apparently If Barch takes down Parros in an attempt to get out of a headlock it's a "dirty play" according to the Habs & their fans. The stupidity of this logic is laughable. I guess next time Parros has a hold of someone they should say game over George you win, there's a chance you could fall & hit your little head. Just think if Parros stood & threw punches instead of trying to hug it out with a headlock there's no takedown. All Barch for being the only one to throw/land some punches.

Posted by Great Murray on March 30, 2014 at 12:17 PM

On the possibility that Barch may have landed one...I'll give him a win in a weak showing by both guys.

Posted by shawn46 on March 31, 2014 at 11:12 AM

Parros has become the Willie Loman of Fighters. DId he even throw a punch?
