Parros landed the only punch, but I give Orr a 6 for being a stand-up guy. It's amazing how quickly the hostilities die down when someone gets hurt bad. Most players get it.

Winner the Ice. Looser Parros face. OUCH

Posted by busey4pres on October 02, 2013 at 09:56 AM

Get well soon big guy.

Posted by Ronnie82 on October 01, 2013 at 10:42 PM

It's laughable that the man who was KO'ed and taken off on a stretcher is deemed the winner LOL I hope Parros isnt badly hurt but lets say this fight goes the same way and Parros breaks his leg and can't get up then he loses. I'm sorry but in any other sport where fighting is involved being seriously injured and unable to continue means you lose by a TKO (injury) Most cheesy win in Orr's career, but a win none the less.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on October 03, 2013 at 04:09 PM

Too bad he didn't land on the moustache. It may have cushioned the fall.

Posted by hughcares on October 02, 2013 at 12:18 PM

I guess we won't be subject to boring Parros fights for a little while.

Posted by wristshot300 on October 01, 2013 at 10:30 PM

Hard to watch that one. Hope Parros is okay.

Posted by bruins34 on October 01, 2013 at 10:46 PM

Tough to watch. Hope GP is alright. Draw because it never got going. I do like the way Parros informed PK of his role in any possible fight with Orr. I'd love to hear the audio on that quick conversation.

Posted by CairnsNYI33 on October 02, 2013 at 10:34 AM

get well soon George!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, George.

Not even going to vote on this one, Just want to Say, I hope Parros is going to be OK, that was Brutal, I Never like to see that Happen to Anybody

From the horrible camera work I can't call this anything more than a draw. I feel bad for Parros; hope he is okay....

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on October 02, 2013 at 01:08 AM

you hate to see that. such a good guy like parros on a brean new team, second fight of the night. shame.

Posted by probie4life on October 03, 2013 at 02:40 AM

And now the Nitwit Hockey League is going to try and use this as an excuse to get fighting out of the game again. I've never seen any business market their product as poorly as the NHL. Leave the game alone! Maybe after you eliminate fighting and a huge portion of your fan base you can put laser tracers back on the puck!

Posted by Boston Garden on October 01, 2013 at 10:37 PM

Another Orr-Parros fight where neither can stay upright for longer than 5 seconds.

Posted by Pug Face on October 02, 2013 at 01:18 PM

That sux

Posted by Panchosraider on October 02, 2013 at 10:33 AM

Okay that anyone here selected a winner makes you a total homer! Win ICE since it has the best KO ratio in the past week!

Posted by fight-fan on October 02, 2013 at 11:06 AM

PK the biggest joke in hockey, acting tough BC/ he has Parros to protect him.. Not a single punch landed but 45.5% of the votes thus far go to George. Looks like the Habs homers are out in full force to vote on a non fight that can't be called anything but a draw.

Posted by mukmoe on December 17, 2013 at 06:07 PM

Orr was losing.

Posted by DARCY T on October 02, 2013 at 10:08 AM

not much of fight.crap draw...i hate to see what happened to parros.i blame orr for it.he pulled parros down the same way in their 1st fight.whats the point in that.parros wasnt pulled down only by orr's weight.u can see that orr pulled him down with full strength of his arm.that's dirty

Posted by mikebflorida on October 02, 2013 at 12:28 PM

Yikes! Poor George was tied up and slammed his chin on the ice. Why are people voting for anything other than a draw? Jeez.

Posted by Spug on October 02, 2013 at 12:16 AM

Super classy by Orr afterwards, you can tell he actually cares about Parros. I think Parros will have Orr's number in the fight department, some styles just beat other styles. This was a really unfortunate accident, hope Parros can recovery quickly but I have my doubts. Cant really call a fight like this anything but a draw.

Posted by fernben8 on October 02, 2013 at 02:16 AM

Can't really rate this one... Big props and respect on Orr's reaction. Hope big George is all right...

Posted by tyrone on October 02, 2013 at 12:39 PM

Orr knew what he was doing by dragging BGP down to the ground. Draw either way. Hope BGP is well.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on October 02, 2013 at 06:44 PM

How come "The Ice" wasnt an option to choose as the winner? JOKING PEOPLE. Great sportsmanship by Orr. Nasty Spill by Parros. Subban is still garbage.

Posted by GreatMurray on October 02, 2013 at 12:54 PM

No fight really. The ice knocked out Parros. The fact that he is a crappy skater was a major factor.

Posted by nait on October 01, 2013 at 10:33 PM

draw from what I saw but props to Orr for knowing Parros was in trouble and calling for help

Posted by 87CROSBY87 on October 01, 2013 at 11:45 PM

Price was in his playoff form; and the Leafs win AGAIN at the "he-got-his-bell-rung center" What else could you ask for? habs lose game, lose the fights, the stretcher makes it's appearance, and Brandon Prust in a first in NHL history; shows us all that you can "turtle" standing up. Looking forward to cashing this Pro-Line ticket. Thank you Leafs btw; nice BUSH LEAGUE tactics by Tinordi... Yet the Leaf took his best and easily got up -How embarrassing to tinordi Great results on opening night

Posted by captainmook on October 02, 2013 at 02:12 AM

Love both these guys, and all I can say is that the only true players with honor in the NHL are the tough guys (with the notable exceptions of John Scott and Cam Jansen, who are both total douchebags IMO) -- after 2 scraps with Parros, and falling to the ice, Orr signals right away for some assistance towards his opponent. Two of my favorite teams on opening night, one of the best rivalries in sports, period. Parros is a beast, as is Orr; but unfortunately, they have both demonstrated that the bigger they are, the harder they fall. In a strange twist of irony, I saw on TSN that Orr's season that ended with the concussion was as a result of a fight with Parros. Hope it's not the same fate for big George, and I hope he's going to be okay. Give the first bout to Parros, calling the 2nd a draw, maybe a slight edge to GP -- get well soon George.

Posted by srehm1 on October 02, 2013 at 09:06 PM

Just a quick fight and hard to pick a winner. Hope Parros is ok and comes back strong.

Posted by mygameworn on October 01, 2013 at 10:27 PM

Tough to see. FREAK accident.

Posted by sndaysnipr on October 02, 2013 at 01:10 AM

No punches connected.

Posted by DotRats on October 02, 2013 at 11:35 AM

KO by the frozen water, Orr was not winning

Posted by Pindar on October 01, 2013 at 10:50 PM

Posted by Rockem on October 02, 2013 at 01:33 PM

Carried off on a stretcher for trying to get tough with the Leafs. No doubt at the end result....winner, of course, Colton Orr. Murray is breathing a huge sigh of relief that he's sitting and collecting a paycheck instead of being wheeled off as well.

Parros wins another one against Colton Orr who seems to have some blood on his face but not as much as poor 'stache ou faceplants heavily into the ice after trying to land a final haymaker that misses Orr's falling body. A good fight with a very unfortunate ending...

Posted by Livewire on October 02, 2013 at 12:41 AM

Clearly keeping on the helmets helped substantially here. It'll be a shame the day this site is a museum. Both fights were pretty good tho.

Posted by jcholmes on October 02, 2013 at 07:12 AM

Parros knocked himself out. So who gets the win, him or Orr?

Posted by MilburyKOMyKid on October 02, 2013 at 03:17 PM

Colton Orr scores an Ippon via Yoko wakare!

Posted by "LET THEM GO" on October 17, 2013 at 05:57 PM

Posted by AmazingLarry69 on October 02, 2013 at 11:39 AM

Seems like the ice won that fight.

Posted by Silent Partner on October 04, 2013 at 07:40 AM

Parros with the win. Orr dragged him down in despair. Accidental!

Posted by DICKJOHNSON on October 02, 2013 at 06:56 AM

Parros had Orr off balance right off the get go and was on his way to a 2-0 night. Very unfortunate that he was in the motion of throwing a punch when Orr lost his balance and his momentum carried him over Orr and to a chin first landing on the ice. Hope he is OK

Posted by BooSanta on October 03, 2013 at 11:14 PM

Big Clumsy Stash vs Big Clumsy....Colt? Colt always at a disadvantage with the reach of Stash. When Big Clumsy Stash gets the only landed punch of the fight in, Orr slips and Stash get smashed. The ice won here. These guys need to stand on Myagi's fishing boat and learn balance. The Colt again shows that despite his occasional recklessness, he can be a class act and follow the code when his opponent is out.

Posted by Kitsune_H on October 02, 2013 at 08:01 AM

Damned shame about Parros. I hope he gets better.

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 05, 2013 at 12:56 PM

Ouch! So much for the aforementioned tandem "Le Stache" looked to be on his way to gaining a second consecutive edge over Orr At least until his legendary balance issues kicked in and finally got the better of him All kidding aside you hate to see stuff like that And I hope that he's ok and that we get to see more than four plus minutes of him in a Habs uniform this season Chin up Le Magnum

Posted by canamrugby on October 01, 2013 at 11:55 PM

Get better George.

Posted by GSP09 on October 02, 2013 at 12:38 PM

This is a bad fall for George, he was pulled to the ice by Orr and fell face first with no way to protect himself. Parros was winning the fight at that point. Hope he'll be ok.

Posted by FaxCap on October 02, 2013 at 08:32 PM

Despite how it ended Parros gets the win.

Posted by staceyb on October 02, 2013 at 05:30 AM

I hate to see that for George Parros. As I learned from my skating on the pond that hitting the ice nose first is like hitting a concrete floor. Plus that is a rather big body to do so. Classy move on Orr's part.

Posted by rocky 1 on October 01, 2013 at 11:16 PM

Parros was winning this fight when he throws a punch and misses loosing his balance and lands on his face getting knocked out.Orr did not knock him down. The unfourtunate thing is the media is already jumping on the no fighting band wagon.I hope george will be ok!

Posted by pepsigenerate on October 06, 2013 at 03:26 PM

colton orr holds parros jersey as he gets dropped by Parros...decision clearly to George Parros!!!!

Posted by EvilAsh on October 02, 2013 at 12:56 AM

Had to pick Parros just out of respect. Hope he gets well quick.

Posted by hockeyrules999 on October 01, 2013 at 11:04 PM

Habs were all over the Leafs tonight, 4-0 ! Carlyle was going nuts! Sad thing for Parros who had Orr's number tonight. Teams are trying to follow the dinosaurs like Neely , Burke and Carlyle but it's not gonna end in a good way.

Posted by shawnrocks on October 01, 2013 at 11:34 PM

landed right on his chin....montreal trying to bring some toughness..just lost a big part.... win parros

Posted by CaptJay on October 02, 2013 at 08:18 PM

George get well soon.......Colton Orr, Class Act!

Posted by ewen21 on October 02, 2013 at 08:40 PM

I can't score that since the fight really never happened. There should be a "non fight" selection for things like this. When I see two guys get tangled up like that and go down after being off balance I cringe. Pretty nasty to fall over the top of a guy like that face first. Ouch

Posted by Hobie_Hansen on November 01, 2013 at 06:28 AM

Orr might have showed some class in calling for the trainer. However, he knew he wasn't going to land any bombs on Parros and I believe he intentionally yanked him down to the ice. If you watch their first fight of the game he did the same thing. Parros will be aware of this during their next fight I'm sure.

Posted by Fly28ers on October 03, 2013 at 04:10 PM

Great respect from Orr. Hope Parros makes a full recovery.

Posted by flanagon on October 02, 2013 at 12:27 AM

I pray that George is OK

Posted by kkdowning on October 03, 2013 at 09:01 AM

Hope Parros is OK, that looked bad.

Posted by Pacific on October 02, 2013 at 12:29 AM

never saw a self-knockout like this before

Posted by partybarber on October 03, 2013 at 01:29 AM

Which fucks voted for parros lol, he will never play again....

Posted by kingpaolo on October 02, 2013 at 07:10 PM

imma put this out there... i watched this several times and watched a gif over and over again..and i believe Orr did this on purpose.... never seen anyone get there head slammed into the ice like that before... i don't see a slip, but i do see him hop off his feet and then power slam Parros with his left.. even in the stills, Orr is intently trying to pull Parros over and into the ice... and their previous history with Parros concussing Orr would support this...

Posted by boldbilly on October 03, 2013 at 11:16 PM

Orr the cheap shot a - hole going after Subban.......classy NOW why is that different than Scott going after Kessel......answer ,it's not....... ITS only acceptable in Toronto and Boston....they can target other teams marquee players........THEN CALL THEM PU$$ies.........very sad...........Kessel. Chop chop.........now there is a giant MANGINA ...lol now to the fight Orr was just starting to take another beating but he bails and purposely drags down Parros by the jersey ................the rest they say is history........not very impressed with Orr but in his defence he does seem to show some concern
