Zenon Konopka Responds to Sens Critics

After spending 2010-11 with the Islanders, Konopka is well aware what it’s like not to be given much of a chance by the so-called experts. He can look around the Ottawa dressing room and see a lot more talent than they started out with in New York last season.

“It’s a similar, but different situation,” said Konopka. “All you have to do is look down the bench at our team. (Jason) Spezza, (Sergei) Gonchar, (Daniel) Alfredsson and (Craig) Anderson still play for our team.
