Zenon Konopka Grabs FM Lead

With his scrap against Shawn Thornton in the first period of Sens–B's on Tuesday night, Zenon Konopka jumped Cody Bass for the league-lead in fighting majors. “Z” now has five.
The top spot is a familiar one for Konopka. He lead the league in FM's in 2009-10 and finished second last season. This year will probably see much of the same. Konopka even has the usual opposition, as Brandon Prust and Derek Dorsett are already hot on his tail after one month of play.
Last night's meeting between Ottawa and Boston also produced a tilt between Zack Smith and Gregory Campbell. The two tried to go earlier in the game, but unsportsmanlike conducts were handed out. A late-game bout saw Smith control Campbell for the most part.
Other fights from yesterday included a short one between Matt Belesky and Matt Hendricks in Ducks–Caps and a quick back-and-forth dance featuring Dale Weise and Tim Jackman during Canucks–Flames.
