Yabo’s Dual Fighting Roles

Yablonski never stops trying. That’s why he decided to give cage fighting a whirl.

The attraction was innocent enough, produced by a chance visit to a fight club in Boise, Idaho, where Yablonski and his family — wife Kirsten and young Taylor — now make their offseason home.

“I started training with them, just for conditioning,” said Yablonski, who soon enough found himself behind bars. “They said, ‘Yabo, you’ve got to fight. You’re good at this.’ I said, ‘Talk to your promoter. I’ll fight.’

“The next thing you know, I’m in the cage going at it.”
