Waiting for the Fallout
Let’s get this out of the way, here’s the post about Simon’s chop on Hollweg: Board, Slash, It’s a Power Play Goal
While there were some fireworks in that Rangers at Islanders game, there were no fighting majors. There were four fights in eight other games last night.
One of the more interesting things to note was that Eric Lindros picked up his second fighting major of the season. It was pretty clear he didn’t want to exchange punches, and with his past concussions, who can blame him? Lindros is in a tough spot. He has to play physical to be effective, but he can’t chance another head injury, whether it be from a fight, a scrum, a check, etc. Not just for his career, but his overall health. Ten years ago this might have sounded nuts, but someone’s got to step in for him when things get nasty. It doesn’t matter if it’s Niklas Hagman from a few feet away, or Krys Barch limping down from the press box (he’s out with a broken toe).
Last night’s clips:
Robyn Regehr vs Jordin Tootoo Mar 8, 2007
Eric Lindros vs Barret Jackman Mar 8, 2007
Alexei Semenov vs Todd Fedoruk Mar 8, 2007
I hope to add Francis Bouillon vs Keith Tkachuk within the day.

Will add more tomorrow if anything good pops up by afternoon. The Simon post will also be updated.
Update 310am: JC reminds me the Blackhawks play the Coyotes on Saturday. It’s a good reminder. Koci and Gratton met up twice in the A in 2004-05.
