Tie Domi Helps Coach Son’s Team

Tie Domi returns as coach

The 41-year-old Domi, who played junior for the Peterborough Petes and went on to a 16-year NHL career, is the assistant coach on the GTHL Don Mills minor midget Flyers, for whom the younger and highly-rated Domi toils.

The Flyers beat Pittsburgh 9-0 in their first game of the Fitzsimmons Towing and Repair Tournament of Champions midget hockey tournament at the Evinrude Centre Friday and Ottawa Valley Titans 4-1 in their second at the Memorial Centre. All Max Domi did was score seven goals in the first game, two in the second.
