Tensions Boil Over in Tampa
The Tampa Bay Lightning are on top of the Atlantic Division. The Buffalo Sabres are at the bottom. Last night, when the two met, things went as you'd expect with the Lightning dominating the game in each and every way, leading to some nastiness late in the game.
With under ten minutes to play, Steven Stamkos incited a minor line brawl by giving the Sabres Mike Weber an extra slash to the stick after a save. Weber's defensive partner Tyson Strachan came over, and then the rest of the teams followed for an impromptu meeting in the corner.
