Sunday One

One fight yesterday, from the Blackhawks–Blue Jackets game.  Troy Brouwer picked up his first NHL fighting major after a bout with Manny Malhotra.  It’s viewable here, and also on the videos page for download.

The Ron Petrovicky–Kris Newbury scrap was also added (viewable here).

For those who haven’t seen it or read about it, Petrovicky landed a few hard shots on Newbury, who fell and hit his head on the ice.  Newbury was conscious, but carried off on a stretcher.

Tim Wharnsby of the Globe and Mail is reporting that Newbury is listed as day-to-day.  Definitely good news.

CBC’s After Hours poll about removing the instigator, something I linked to yesterday, is now showing 80% of fans responded “Yes” (as in eliminate it).
