Stars, Bruins Don’t Waste Time

Remember the last time the Stars visited the Bruins in Boston? November 1, 2008. Three fights to end the game and a combined 146 penalty minutes. Not too shabby.

Guess what? They topped that.

Three scraps back-to-back-to-back in the first five seconds of their game on Thursday. Steve Ott and Gregory Campbell went right off of the opening faceoff. A one-sided win for Shawn Thornton over Krys Barch followed and Adam McQuaid did the same to Brian Sutherby immediately after.

Andrew Ference dropped Adam Burish with a right hand about three minutes later. It was the game's final fight. The rest of the play saw a big hits and scrums, but not another blow-up.
