Shawn Thornton: “No excuses this time of year”

Some thoughts from Boston Bruins tough guy Shawn Thornton yesterday evening at TD Garden.
On looking forward to game 6:
I’m not much of a mathematician. The series is 3-2, so I mean we have to, we’re going to have to focus on game six and we’re having success back here at home. The rest of the numbers and other stuff goes right out the window. It’s all about wins and losses this time of year. Yeah, there’s some things to build on. Timmy’s [Tim Thomas] playing unbelievable. We know we can be better, stuff like that. But like I said at the end of the day it’s all about wins and losses.
On the difference between the games home and away:
I don’t want to take anything away from them, they’re a really good hockey team, but I don’t think we’ve, I mean the first two games I was upstairs so I don’t have as much of an opinion, but I know we weren’t as good as we needed to be yesterday and I don’t think there’s any excuse for that either.
