Scott and Wild Tame Ducks
A big punch from a big man. John Scott challenged fan-favorite George Parros in Minnesota last night and ended the fight with a big right, sending The Stache to the ice. Parros was never able to get anything going and appeared frustrated entering the penalty box. Locked up with 6’8” Scott, the 6’5” Parros looked smaller than he ever has on skates.
The Ducks led 3-0 after the second period, but the Wild roared back in the third and won the game in OT.
Eric Nystrom had a big night for Calgary. In between scoring a pair of goals for the victorious Flames he took on Kyle Chipchura. Brandon Prust bloodied Greg Stewart earlier in the game.
Jody Shelley and Raitis Ivanans dropped the gloves for the fifth time. Brad Staubitz hit Davis Drewiske hard in the corner as Drewiske was bent over, leaving his head vulnerable. Shelley and Ivanans separated from a quick scrum with Ivanans throwing lots of hard rights until he had Shelley pinned against the boards.
