Nicolas Deslauriers Makes His Mark

In the Sabres–Jets game Tuesday night, with the score 5-1 in favor of the Jets, Nicolas Deslauriers of the Sabres took a run at Jets center Mark Scheifele. Mark Stuart stood up for Scheifele and a tap from Deslauriers got things started.

Both men got a good hold of each other with the left and proceeded to throw monster right hands. The bout was even through the first half, with both players landing sharp punches on the other. In the middle rounds Stuart started pulling ahead, before getting cracked with a dazing shot to the ear. Deslauriers then finished him off with an uppercut.

Stuart was able to get off the ice on his own power and looked no worse for wear despite knockout finish.
