Krys Barch and Cam Janssen Highlight New Year

It's been a mild couple of days in the NHL, but Krys Barch and Cam Janssen had a fight Sunday night that will be remembered for the rest of the season.  Swinging back and forth for a long time, Barch skated off with a re-opened cut and the current voted winner.

The fight is currently voted second on this season's top rated fights list.

Barch and Janssen always seem to have action-filled fights when they meet on the ice. Janssen may be Barch's new Brad May.

There were a trio of fights last night, all out west.  In Calgary, Zenon Konopka fought Tom Kostopoulos. Out in San Jose, Jamal Mayers had one of his strongest performances of the season against Tanner Glass in the first period.  In the second, Mayers scored his second goal of the season.  Glass picked up his second major when he fought Brandon Mashinter.  It was Mashinter's first regular season NHL fight.
