Isles and Devils Punch It Out, Again

The Islanders and Devils capped off their season series last night with another close game including another couple of fights. It was the third game of March between the two teams, all decided by one goal (technically two by one real goal, and one by shootout).
Both of last night's bouts came early in the game. Zenon Konopka took on David Clarkson just two minutes in. Konopka seemed to be caught off-guard early in the fight by Clarkson and Konopka just tried to even it up from there. The two fought in December as well.
A few minutes later Jay Leach went with Matt Martin after Martin hit Leach in a corner. It was a good, fairly even scrap that ended when both players tired out and skated away on their own.
There were eight fights all together in the six-game series. Full list after the jump.
The Isles head back to Long Island to play against their other local rival, the Rangers. Another series that has been active this season, there have been five fights in five games so far.
