In Defense of a Teammate

Tuesday night’s fights had a common theme: teammates coming to each other’s aid.

After Mike Brown and Derek Dorsett dropped the gloves in the first period of Canucks–Jackets, Alexandre Picard challenged Kevin Bieska following an open-ice hit on Nikita Filatov. A similar situation occured in Flames–Caps when Rene Bourque pounded Tyler Sloan after Sloan leveled Daymond Langkow with a hit as well.
