Hugh Jessiman’s Long Journey

After moving around and dropping the gloves in the minor leagues for years, former first-round draft pick Hugh Jessiman has finally made it to the NHL.
Unfortunately, he was shipped back to Rochester this afternoon, but the fact that Jessiman made it to the big time is something in itself. The Dartmouth product is now the final first-rounder from the heralded 2003 NHL draft to play in the NHL.
Jessiman took part in his first NHL regular season scrap on Tuesday, a short and successful bout against Troy Bodie during the first period of Panthers–Canes.
Tom Kostopoulos also tried his hand against Cam Janssen in last night.
