Ducks quickly see Finnish life of Mr. Selanne

Not everyone, however, could squeeze onto Selanne’s floating housing community. The others were relegated to a second yacht, one owned by one of Selanne’s buddies, a yacht that stretched only 62 feet.

“I’m super excited,” winger George Parros said before shove off. “This island, it sounds like Shangri-La. We’re going across some fjord to some spa. Sounds like a ‘Fantasy Island’ thing. I’m not sure. Are there going to be gnomes out there waiting for us or something? I don’t have a clue.”

Parros paused for a second, thinking about Selanne, one of the Ducks’ self-appointed tour guides on this trip.

“He’s like Michael Jackson out here,” Parros said. “I’m sure he’s got something cool planned.”
