All thirty teams were in action yesterday and some familiar names were making fans roar.

Donald Brashear is still being booed in New York.  He took on a challenge from Matt Carkner towards the end of the game against the Sens and was able to get a few cheers out of the home town crowd.  The fans still seem more receptive to Aaron Voros, who also had a fight for the Rangers, dropping the gloves at the buzzer with Mike Fisher.  Brash is one of five players who have two fighting majors, but his first was on the road.  If he keeps active, the Garden faithful will warm to him quickly.

In the first game against the Hurricanes since being ousted in game seven (overtime! Walker!) the Bruins were out to make a statement.  A dominating 7-2 win also included a bloody fight between Jay Harrison and Milan Lucic, and Shawn Thornton pounding down Andrew Alberts.

The Battle of Alberta also produced two fights.  Brandon Prust took on Zack Stortini and a surprising match-up of Craig Conroy and Sam Gagner.

A scrap between Zenon Konopka and Chris Thorburn is currently the highest rated fight from last night.
