Predators fans didn’t have much to cheer about last night, getting thumped 6-1 by the OilersTriston Grant gave the home crowd something to get out of their seats for.  Grant, in his first regular season NHL fight since 2006-07, took on Zack Stortini.  Stortini swung openly and landed a few to open up the fight.  The linesmen stood back and Grant was able to make it a fight before the tired out and were escorted to their respective penalty boxes.

Game of the night was easily the Flames blowing a five-goal lead to the Blackhawks.  The game was in Chicago and the crowd was great.  Brent Seabrook scored the sixth goal for the Hawks, and the game-winner in OT.  There was one fight in the game.  Calgary captain Jarome Iginla was in control in a scrap against Troy Brouwer.  Unfortunately for the Flames, it could not stop Chicago’s momentum.

A couple of heavyweights dropped the gloves in Madison Square Garden.  Donald Brashear and Colton Orr went head-to-head for the seventh time in the NHL.  The previous six times Orr was in the Rangers jersey.  Brashear is still working on winning over the hometown crowd.

More video tweaks

The minors videos page was added.  Note that it doesn’t include the AHL, which has its own page.  Also, on fight pages with more than one video (such as anything marked “x2” above), the second video was widened to go across both of the right-hand columns.
