George Laraque’s Suspension
The Canadiens beat the Blue Jackets tonight 5-3 in the only game of the evening and the first game of George Laraque’s suspension.
Laraque has been pretty beat up in the media since his hit on Niklas Kronwall. Kronwall might be the only person to not vilify the Habs tough guy:
“I really don’t think he’s a dirty player whatsoever,” Kronwall said. “I think he’s one of those guys that has a really good reputation and plays hard. I think this was just more of an accident, and he got a few games’ suspension. It’s fair. It’s in the range of what I thought he would get.”
